Text my friend who’s a sports journo with a particular interest in Serie A. He says:

“I would say he’s been OK without doing anything special - scored 5 goals but also had a red card and some rubbish performances

Whereas when I asked about Piatek, he said:

“I mean football is not an exact science but Newcastle / Villa is probably more his level”

So that’s settled. I’m balls deep for Mario now.
He’ll get on well with Son then!

If anyone on that list needs to be signed up other than OG it’s Mario. Never thought he would be an option, and he is certified mental but we need a bit of shithousery every now and then.

The same reason I love to hate Costa, like them or not they wind defenders up and that opens spaces for our other attacking players.

Mario knows where the back of the net is too, give us 5-10 goals and it would be worth it.

If it fails atleast it should be entertaining.

If it is Mario then would add to the great media circus that Jose brings with him, which I like!

Also remember reading he did some cool charitable things as well as some fucking crazy shit so there is some hope!

I'll only welcome Balotelli if we let Scott Parker stamp on his face on his first day.
"Hello? Hello Scotty, it's Daniel here ... No, don't worry, we're not going to nick any players off you ... Just wondered if you'd fancy a trip to Hotspur Way for a little reunion training session with some of the 2012 lads ... By the way, bring some extra long studs, I reckon you're going to need them ..."

We had everything agreed with Piatek, then Hertha came in with a bid to buy him. We were offered the same deal but he was seen as a risk. JM would like Giroud, as he will be able to slot straight in and is ok with being back up. It's doable, and not the only one that is. We don't want to shell out lots on a striker that will hardly play, and could hold back TP in the long term.

It makes too much sense! Yet still we crave for a shiny new toy!

The good news is that we are still in negotiations with players. Too many times in the past it seems like we’ve just given up even when players were needed. Bad news is obviously they could all fall over but at least we are still attempting to get one in.

If Giroud is possible, it might well happen then. Mario would be hysterical for about a week. Then he and Aurier would pull high jinx on Winks and crock him for the season
