If that were true & it's that straightforward (BIG IF) re Caulker/Lewis daughter then that is an epic fail. FOR OUR CLUB.
Seriously, you try and believe that the club is run efficiently and professionally & then you hear something like that & you think 'OK, so our strategy can be undermined by the whims of Lewis and the big mouth of a player.'

Have we no formal disciplinary process?

Unprofessional all round.

Plus if Gareth wants out, then he knows what to do. Bloody farcical.

Even if true, I really doubt it would have been the sole reason for Caulker's sale, more like the last straw. It was clear from how much Gallas played last year that AVB didn't rate the lad that highly. He was probably on the list of "sell if we get a good offer" players, like Dempsey, and CCFC did make us a pretty good offer. We were also very confident at the time of landing Chiriches. A falling-out with JL might have been enough to send the deal from something we were seriously considering to acting on it, but I would really hope it wasn't more than that.

I'm thinking it's a case of Cardiff coming in with an acceptable offer and after Caulker calling Miss Lewis a whore it was much more acceptable.

I have no idea who! My guess would be Coentrao and Willian or Eriksen.

I think the defender mentioned might have to be a central one, based on what we've heard about the possible long term issues with Kaboom. Would like Vlad, but suspect Toby more likely.

Brass Door = Whore. Wish i just said whore but Caulker used the word Brass.

kaboul, vertongen, and daws, yes, but we have capoue who can play there capably according to most reports, and fryers in a pinch, who played the whole preseason with us. we could use another one, a youngish player who would be ok with getting the odd game, but i don't think it's a big priority.

On today's evidence capoue looks a cert for midfield I do think we need another.
