I figured tail = rear end, and brass nail = something you hammer, so that's how it made sense in my head, seeing as a whore is generally getting 'hammered' so to speak.

Coopsie, you just about hit the nail on the head. Urban dictionary states ----- BRASS = A prostitute,from the cockney slang BRASS NAIL,meaning TAIL,tail being a slang name for a prostitute.

Would be typical Spurs to miss out on Lamela and Willian and then lose GB with little time left.

I really hope that isn't the case as this year we have been different and we have be excellent in our business. Problem is we've seen this all happen many times at Spurs and it does just seem right. Despite the pessimistic tone of this post I am still hopeful it will be different.

That said I am struggling with that nightmare scenario. I've come to terms with GB going but that all hinges on replacing him with the likes of Willian and Lamela.

If it wasn't for JJ I'd still be quite convinced that GB was staying, in which case things would be much more rosey.

If he is not "replaced", he won't be going IMO. I truly believe that we have now become serious in the market.

Anyone just seen guillieme balugue or however you spell it on ss4!? Basically says levy wants €120 euros and Madrid know this. Feeling in Madrid is that bale is rebelling but this is untrue and although Madrid want him to hand in a request it will never happen and madrid are beginning to think they won't get him this year and spurs are beginning tI believe we will keep him for another year.
Very interesting in this coming from a Spanish perspective and felt genuine when speaking. What a legend in the game if true!

Breezer I would advise you continue to post and most of us know you do it in good faith. The mods should do something if people are come back with rude comments like this. Nothing is wrong in disagreeing just keep it to yourself. I love all itk, and see JJ is held in high esteem yet i seen him get things wrong, but i still love his comments. There are others out there that get posted on itk RO. Most of them i look forward to. Please do not stop just ignore responses like the poster quoted who called it 'bollocks'.

I wish some people would just provide some positivity to this thread. To at least discuss it and enjoy it for what it is. Not to rip the ass out of it and to (maybe unintentionally) drive people away. Also to have a go at posters language skills is also out of line imo.

I appreciate the rumours and gossip. Keep 'em coming. I'm afraid though I'm not close enough to the coal face to hear anything.
