you're not accepting news stories as sources but would accept someone posting on a forum?

I'm only suggesting there are established links between the club and player.

I take all ITK with a pinch of salt and I'm not allowed to say ITK is bullshit but I am allowed to say daily mail is bullshit. ;)

President Alexandre Kalil saying: "It's true that Dortmund have made a bid for Bernard but an English team [Tottenham] is closer to signing him"
Sport.co.uk and Daily mail aren't the best sources but if that is us the president is talking about I am glad we are making an early move for talent rather than the usual deadline day transfer chicken bullshit.

Don't believe this :(

3yrs ago:
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have made a double bid for Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani of the sum of £28 million.
"Tottenham have bid €35m, an offer we cannot refuse, seeing as the two players have both said they want to leave," Zamparini told Sky Italia television.

Fair enough, it is a load of rubbish.

The story today was about BAE going to Fenerbahce with a line at the end about Spurs in talks for Bernard.

Cheers for passing that on fella. What a shame that he's on about £3million p/w & is 1000000% out of our price range. I think he's a great striker :(
You say that, I genuinely think dzeko is a player who would take a wage cut. His complaints about city are that he genuinely wants to play first team football, and not be an impact sub. If we got avb to do his sexy seduction with his gravely barratones, and show him he will be the star first team striker then I reckon he could be persuaded? Then it's all about agreeing with city :-s

I highly doubt ANYBODY would want to move if they were on wages anywhere close to that amount ;)

Well you'll be able to tell from my initial post, I'd be overjoyed if we got Dzeko, I just don't see it as being realistically possible. Even if AVB could do his sexy seducing, we have to take into account Napoli & Borussia Dortmund, who have both been linked with Dzeko, should they sell Cavani & Lewandowski respectively. Not so sure we can compete with the package they would/could offer? And I'm obviously not just referring to finances.
