It's quite funny that JM doesn't fancy GLC because he's looked better than what we've got whenever he's played. Wonder if we're about to have a Salah or KDB moment with Mourinho?
That’s going to be my worry with any young player that he doesn’t rate, and rightly so.

At the very least you’d think we would make it permanent in January and play him so we can flip him in the summer and profit a bit. He’s still going to be looked at as a top prospect by others.

Sad on GLC's ITK. But isn't it a lesser risk to pay for GLC first, considering the rather low fee as of today's standard, and sell him off 6 months later? Will be quite sure he can command a good fee comes summer even if he is not playing much, given the potential.

If Trixs info is correct and we don’t exercise our option on GLC, and we also miss out on Bruno to Utd, could this suggest that we would be (at least attempting) to follow Liverpool’s model?

As far as I’m aware; they play with 3 physical CMs who are technical with the ball, and no classic #10 per se. Their creativity comes from their full backs and wingers (areas that ITK has suggested we will be looking to strengthen over coming windows).

That being said, I’d be gutted if we don’t sign GLC permanently.

I think with another ITK that Jose sees Dele as the core of the squad we won't play with similar system

Disappointed on the GLC ITK.

I would of loved to have seen him, Lamela and Son behind Kane. And a proper DM beside Ndombele.

Would be some team imo.

The thing is while any rebuild is taking place you still need to pick up results. Poch had lost too many of the players due to his own stubbornness.

There was no way he'd have turned it round. None whatsoever.

Those same players aren’t performing much better now though.

He wouldn’t have turned it around though I agree, not once he had lost his desire to be at the club. Shame he was put in that position.

And we aren’t getting results either.

I've been reluctant to post on the main forum(have behind the scenes)because others have said differently, but I've heard it on three separate occasions now.

JM not keen on GLC and would rather the loan cancelled and the money was spent elsewhere.
So you’re saying we tracked a plane from Spain to London just for him to go back

On GLC, as what Trix shared. Very interesting how this one ends up, because we have a commitment with RB. Only price difference; we pay less if we don’t make CL. But as far as I am aware we have an obligation to make it permanent. DL trying to haggle it down. My gut feeling is we will make it a permanent. The board’s take is, we cannot discard just like that, especially with our outlay thus far. Loan fee was not cheap neither, and arranged to offset our permanent deal with him.

We can still buy him and then sell him straight away in the summer for more. That’s the kind of thing I could see us doing.

Lo Celso is clearly an excellent footballer but it's becoming increasingly obvious he doesn't have a natural position in a Mourinho team. Unless we start playing a 4-3-3 and drop Alli (which Jose seems completely reluctant to do) I just don't see how he fits into our first choice 11 at the moment.

If we do end up being obliged to sign him he'd be an excellent squad player to have around, but he's too good for that and it would be tragic for a player of his talent to waste away on the bench. It would sadly be best for everyone if we can flog him and spend the money elsewhere.

I always had a feeling that, while Lo Celso is certainly the silkier of the two, (Bruno) Fernandes has something about him that's really suited to the PL. Will be gutting if he ends up going to Utd and is a huge hit.

Can't see Levy cancelling the loan lightly. Pissing away £15m or so for a wasted 6 month loan. Possible that Jose wanted to lose GLC to get Bruno but assuming Gards info is correct Jose might have to make do with GLC for now.

If GLC can get minutes after Eriksen leaves and keep up his work rate on the press (caused two big turnovers yesterday) I'd fancy him to convince Mourinho by the summer.

Some times you just have to tell the manager he is keeping a player. Lo Celso is one of those cases as was De Bruyne

I find that incredible and worrying ! You can see he is a very good player described as the best player outside of Madrid and Barcelona. I would worry Jose has lost it if that is the case or there is more in it. He is the only player in the squad that looks like he has gold in his boots.

So disappointed with the GLC ITK. It’s all unbelievably depressing at the moment.

Giving him back to Betis to free up funds for the likes of who... Gedson??

Huh?

Without Eriksen ( if he goes now), Sissoko, uncertain fitness of Ndombele, Lo Celso is the only viable option in the playmaking kitchen at the moment. And he was very good against Liverpool. Jose has no choice.

Lets just hope GLC performs good until May so Jose can change his mind.
Even though if he is not fully fancied. No need to make another problem in the squad right now. There are so many other positions we need to worry about.

Not the type of information i want to hear Trix - hope its unfounded or that GLC has chance to prove his worth.

To me he would be one of first names on my teamsheet at present and cannot see that will have enough change in squad by end of window to think differently.

Desperately need a DoF to ensure that manager changes with different styles does not impact on squad otherwise never get continuity
