This theoretical money being spent on players like Soldado, Coentrao must have a link to the itk news that Joe has put in £50 million to spend after the Paulinho money. On a positive spin this could all be about us fulfilling Bales ambitions and this would keep him with us for this season.....Praying that is the case!!

Yes I'm unsure about him. In fact, I'm not unsure, I'm sure he's not actually all that. Not on the televised games or in the Bernabeu that I saw.

This is the point Jair, I'm not saying he's the best defender I've ever seen but he's better defensively than both the LB's we have and some other defenders we have, but his real strength is having a genuine attacking full back to overlap, which is really good in a 433. He carries a genuine direct threat and continually goes at it. Got a great engine and is a tenacious fucker too.

How anyone can say they'd prefer Cheech & Chong Ekotto is beyond belief. He's a world beater on the half way line but absolutely hopeless at either end.

Agree - he is certainly better than any one we have and I would highly doubt there are many (if any) better options at left back available to us
