POTL has never said Bale is going

= I still cling to some hope Bale is staying as even POTL didn't think we would get Lamela if Bale stayed (is how I read it).

I refuse to get too excited until a signing is on the OS so I refuse to get too down about Bale until on the OS. Circumstantial evidence may point to Bale going but ITK is very mixed to put it lightly. No doubt there is interest and we have probably named a price but plenty of suggestion RM can't / won't meet it and also plenty suggesting we don't need the Bale money to do our business this window.

Yes we're signing Lamela and Willian to add to our other signings, while keeping Bale. The Daniel Levy explanation is to explain to the rest of the teams in England why he chose to give them no chance at winning anything.

Seriously if someone had told me we would sell Bale but sign these 3 with the money I would have said they were crazy. I love Bale but I would take those 3 over Bale anytime. An injury to Bale and we were screwed last season, an injury to one star this season does not affect our quality too much.

I'll be gutted if Bale leaves. Of course I understand why and i'd rather have our shiny, new team than keep Bale but I really wanted to see Bale in that shiny new team.

The worst aspect of this is the thought of the Bale transfer being funded by selling Modric to Man Utd and Benzema and Di Maria to Arsenal. I would argue that that is exactly what our 2 main rivals for a Top 4 finish need to make us underdogs again. Without them and with us keeping Bale we would be nailed on for the Champions League next season.

I have some small hope that this doesn't happen. I think Ancelotti would want to keep Modric and having lost Higuain they can't afford to lose another striker but then I remember they have Morata who they won't sell to us and that for Perez it is more of a priority to keep the fans happy than the manager.

I just hope Levy remembers that fertiliser doesn't go off, and we keep Bale for one more season but I doubt it .

That we are being taken over by a kuwati family, that are spending the money now before FFP comes in as they wouldn't be able to push the paperwork thru in time for a takeover this summer hence the spending by JL on there behalf, It come just after POTL said he was in gaga land ?
