Not sure if this is something that has already been found out today because I've just come back from the gym and I've fallen 20 pages behind!

Basically I've got a good friend who has a close mate at uni that's best friends with Gareth bale back home. Bale goes everywhere with him; takes him away on golfing holidays etc and he was even on sky sports news the other week going into the training ground with him.

Well the word from my friend all summer has been that bale wants to leave but doesn't think he will go but unfortunately today I've got a call saying that Bale is flying out to Madrid with his mate. Read into it what you want, just what I've been told and I'm passing on in good faith.

Does anyone who is ITK know if Benteke still has a release clause?

I mean, does signing a contract automatically mean he's not for sale? If Spurs spent 25+ on Soldado, Willian, and Lamela, what's stopping us from doing it again with a young, promising striker?

Didnt he come out and say he wouldnt play for us because hes an Arseholenal fan?

I know we're bringing in some quality players and I suppose Bale to Madrid has always had the look of inevitability about it, but I can't help hoping that we'll still tell 'em to stick it.

100% spot on.

After spending a zillion quid on three quarters of a new team, hand picked and selected by AVB, i'd expect something more than to finish one point behind the scum who (the last time i checked) had spent fuck all to improve the overall quality of their squad. Assuming the two newest deals do come off, we have a forward line and midfield to equal the top four PL sides now, and "bedding in time" and "time to get to know one another" is for million pound players not twenty odd million pound players.

This is not a five year plan here, it's a this season for CL qualification or bust as far as i can see. Levy isn't spending this kind of money so he can sit back and watch EL footie on Channel Five next season from his summer home in Florida.
sure - Man City made it look easy the first season they had their multi - million pound players did they? Give the guy a break - he hasnt had to use any excuses just yet.

It will take time, not years but maybe even a month or two - patience.

Fucking hell I hope some of our other players dont miss chances this season........... Players will be sold all over the shop :D.

In all honesty though it was a fucking sitter. That opportunity is the difference between winning a game or not and we need a players that can slot those chances home rather than a player who just swings at the ball like he's trying to play polo without a horse. Defoe makes scoring look so fucking difficult at times, especially when there no one to stop him scoring.

I can't believe it.
I've spent the last two years teaching my dog to bark the word 'Bale' every time he comes on the TV, there's no way he will be able to manage 'Lamela' let alone 'Willian'.

I pray we sign 'Chiriches' because at least that sounds like 'Sausages' and he has already learnt that.

Damn you Levy, can't you just think of your canine fans?

Hi Guys,

I am Bulgarian Spurs fan for 25 years and regarding Todor (the same name like mine ...Hodor :) ) Nedelev - he is attacking midfilder and can play as winger as well. He is very talented but definetely not ready to get Bale place in starting 11. I will be happy Spurs to buy him (not for 5 mil pounds but probably for 2 mil) and send to Holland ot Germany on loan. Nedelev needs to play regulary as he is the best Botev player and 100% starter so if sent to the recerves it may destroy his career.

It's just another of the excuses my son uses for a new shirt. Don't know why cannot go back to the old days and players just have numbers - it's not as if we didn't know who was wearing the shirt.

You're right, but that is the prime objective of the clubs encouraging fans to have names printed on the back of the shirts, more sales revenue and profit. Back to topic, need to get our ins and out sorted soon. AVB will get his magic wand to work on getting CL spot and maybe also challenge the top spot, just maybe ;)

As upsetting as it is to lose Bale. I am gutted however, after months of speculations and uncertainty I am all but over it.

And you literaly cannot get any better then what Levy has done towards selling bale. The potential signings of Willian and Lamela (wow).

Its so weird couple of months back i was adamant that we would be doomed if bale decided to go.

But lets look at today and i am SO OPTMISTIC about the future of this club.

Onwards and Upwards 100%.

Are you struggling to read these posts?

Where do you get 5 goals in 90 sub appearances from?

He has scored 21 goals in 117 sub appearances overall in the Premier League.

Then you said that it was his recent record that was shocking, so I told you that he has 5 goals in his last 18 sub appearances in the PL over the past two seasons.

If you don't like him, then fair enough. But don't just make stuff up.

The overall need though is not how many goals he has scored from the bench, but how many points those goals contributed to the team. Just saying like.

his goals to games ratio:

http://uk.soccerway.com/players/todor-nedelev/202002/

you wouldn't class bale as a winger anymore, would you? it think it will be the same with this guy too, although yes he is officially a winger ATM

Bale is not a pure winger any more but niether is he a CF.

There's more to being a CF than just goals stats. You need to be able to play with your back to goal for a start, particularly if your up there on your own. Same reason I don't think Chadli can be counted as a bona fide 3rd striker option.

If either Ade or Defoe leaves we need another genuine CF.

Get him to change his accent a little to 'Bill'. Failing that 'Lam' in a growly little voice?

I know what you mean, I have used Bale as a way of indoctiniating my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son to the way of Spurs. I will have to start over again now with another player. It is an important and passionate part of parenting and I can't afford to get it wrong. These early years will make or break their potential lifetime allegiance.

I reckon the hold up with Willian is that the club are going to announce the mega double signing of Willian and Lamela together maybe tomorrow lunchtime.
