Are we after Osvaldo as well as Lamela? Surely we cannot sign both?

"On 25 November, Osvaldo was apparently angry with teammate Erik Lamela after not receiving a pass during the 0–2 defeat at Udinese and was fined and suspended by his club for punching Lamela in the face." Wiki

Osvaldo sounds like Defoe on steroids.

Only when you read this thread I think. Not good for your health.

This one's fine, much better than the trench warfare in Bale's thread where the "He's staying" and "Stop being deluded, he's going" factions are ineffectually firing potshots at each other.

As for the ITK, part of me thinks it might be more settling for the players turning out for us in two days if any more news was delayed until after the weekend.

That's my rational thought, the rest of me would love to start the weekend with Lamela and Pjanic signing...

Judging by the fact they jubilantly hug each other now I think they've hashed that out.

Or maybe Osvaldo thought face-punching could be some kind of new celebration. My mates have thought it a good idea to punch each other for no reason at all before.

No seriously - they're neanderthals or something. I don't get it.

The story with Lamela and Osvaldo goes like this. Osvaldo was reportedly angry with Lamela for failing to pass the ball to him during Roma's defeat at Udinese last season and picked up a suspension and €50,000 fine from Roma for allegedly punching the young Argentine in the dressing room afterwards.
Catalan paper El Confidencial ran a report afterwards detailing the argument between the pair and exactly what they allege Lamela said that prompted Osvaldo’s reaction that he was subsequently punished for.
It is believed that Osvaldo was initially irritated in the dressing room after the match by Lamela ignoring his complaints about not passing to him and snapped, “I’m older than you and this is not River, answer as I speak.”
The former River Plate youngster Lamela reportedly then responded, “Shut your mouth, you’re not Maradona.”
At this point it is alleged that Osvaldo went for Lamela and gave him a slap - not a punch as has been originally suggested - before the pair pushed each other a few times prior to teammates intervening. So mainly handbags it seems.

The Saints are willing to pay the Roma striker Osvaldo £60,000-a-week, making him the highest paid player in their history, to beat off competition from Benfica, Wolfsburg and Spurs according to Goal.com.

Apparently the deal is tied up with Lamela and Pjanic as Roma dont want all three to leave a the same time. Not ITK but its there for the taking ladies! (y)

Goal.com is a pile of shite.

not only that, but you'd have to sign off benefits whilst you were getting paid to read it - and who can be bothered with the hassle of signing back on again when you're done? f*cking coalition government.

Did they end up hugging on the runway of an aircraft carrier ? Is this where the WINGS reference comes in. Are we going to sign them both and then loan them to LA Galaxy so they can work part time on a remake of TG ?
