Maybe he is using the 'injury' for his own agenda. It didn't stop him turning up for Wales and doing a public stint for the cameras, it didn't stop him staying and watching the game, or signing autographs for 'spanish' fans or smiling for the cameras. BUT it stopped him doing the same for us. He didn't train in front of cameras or stay for the game against Espanyol or stop his car and smile for the cameras. If he is setting different standards for different occasions what are we supposed to think?

I agree that this seems that case and may be true, but its the club that takes the training pics. Maybe they don't want to publish pics of him training alone, will only lead to more speculation, even though he is injured. Imagine the Wales camp is open to press, and I don't think Verts was at WHL on saturday either signing stuff. Either way, we will get the truth sometime during the next 2 weeks.

Its interesting how quiet POTL has been on Bale, Kind of feel he is fed info from Levy's side hence very quiet... If POTL came out with Bale is off i think it would be the end of the doubt....IF he says he's staying then BOOM.

I would say its pretty clear - POTL's silence on it. We don't know what is likely to happen at the moment.

BTW, god damn all you people with your cashing out stylee bets, never done one of them before and have £100 on Bale to stay on WIlliam Hill which doesnt seem to have that option!

Is he ? Did he also refuse to play for Wales last night - maybe looking for a transfer to the Spanish national team ?

Everything that is in the press is a combination of fabrication and assumption - just my onion. Im sure Madrid want him, Im sure Gareth would like to play for them (who wouldnt). What Im certain of is we wont sell unless they make an acceptable bid, Im confident Madrid dont have the funds to make that bid. Until they do, nothing has changed.

That's pretty naive thinking, he's saving his arse! He couldn't play for Wales. Come back to us and have another 'injury' without it being completely obvious he don't want to play for us! He's keeping himself away from anything that would get in the way of his 'dream' move! And treating us like shit, I was there with my boy the other day, he's 8, at the academy in October, he queued up for ages with the other lads to say hello and maybe get an autograph, but Bale did what he does best, slipped out and left them hanging! Prick has lost all perspective, he'll fuck anyone off to get what he wants, even little kids.

Maybe we've set them a deadline? But yes, if there is movement i'd have thought it's a deal being sorted.

I'm quite sad that i'm no longer sad about the prospect of him going. Oh well.

As I said I was playing Devils Advocate, but in reply to you response, bar the games Bale was out injured there were games where he just could not get involved, or was marked out the game. I am not being detrimental, just honest.

He is a Great Player, but there are 25 players in a squad, and 11 on the pitch.

I am much happier now with the players we have bought in, and feel that we would still have a stronger squad if he left. (that is not saying that I would not be unhappy to see him go)

Nope.

To say that Bale went missing a fair bit when you compare his contribution to the rest of the squad is a bit mental.
