There was ITK from a poster on COYS from the summer before that said they were already calculating how much they'd be able to get from Madrid. Can't remember his name (it's a normal Christian name), but he rarely posts and is considered to be one of the top tier ITKs around.

The events of this summer underlined that.

Absolutely not true! I can tell you that the club firmly believed he would be here on more season, that was the agreement. You don't seriously think they would push for him to have been the poster child for the US NBC coverage of the Premiership via a 40ft Times Square ad otherwise do you? He started the first pre-season, etc…no, the truth is that right around Hong Kong, Madrid told his agent that unless they did their bit to push the move through, Madrid would not come back ever again. Now or never. Thus began the ugliness. They might well have known they would sell at one point, but that 'point' was meant to be THIS summer.

How the fuck is Levy allowing Sherwood to make such decisions when he's not going to at the cub past August. And this is because Sherwood wants to bring Carroll back. This club is such a clusterfuck of epic proportions. I really like Holtby and quite frankly this makes me want Sherwood out even more. Im serious, all this guy wants is to play with his youngsters because there his guys and is completely ignoring players that are better now because of it. His man management is awful. Ugh. I feel awful for Holtby and I hope he becomes a great player. Get the flying fuck out of my club, Sherwood.

I would say that Bentaleb has shown more in one game than Holtby has combined so far this season. I'd take Bentaleb any day of the week over Holtby and Capoue.

So Sherwood wanting to get rid of Holtby, Lamela and Capoue arent his fault? His man management being terrible isnt his fault? His playing a 442 when our players are more fit to play a 4231 or 433 isnt his fault?

Did you not see the fucking debacle of a 4-2-3-1 under AVB?

I was their to witness that God awful fucking diatribe of an effort up in Manchester and at home to the Bin Dippers. Plllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee do NOT try and big up Sherwood's management style as being "terrible".

I have seen "terrible" many times this season, and it's definitely got fuck all to do with a 4-4-2 formation.

Just explain to us all how Dembele, Paulinho, Sandro, Siggy, Eriksen, Lamela, Holtby, Townsend, Lennon and Bentaleb (not to mention Carroll) will all be as happy as pigs in shite come next season trying to get into ANY Spurs formation irrespective of if Sherwood, or any number of managers you'd care to name were brought in by Levy.

Ten into four, or three, or whatever combination you care to mention ain't going to cut it. Bleeding obvious but to the most prejudiced of us.

Obviously things changed significantly after the season Bale had. The point this ITK was making was that the club were preparing to sell him in the summer just gone, over a year ago.

Maybe it's just good business sense to cover all eventualities. Maybe his stratospheric rise was completely unexpected. I wouldn't know. His post was about how Spurs anticipated a bid from Madrid, and in the summer of 2012 they were working out how to get the best deal.

Lamela isn't going anywherem TS said after the Palace game that

'We have Adebayor, Soldado, Erik Lamela will play off the front, that will be his best position, Nacer Chadli could also do that and I think they have goals in them.

'They are having a settling-in period now but hopefully they'll be more settled by the time Jermain leaves at the end of February.'

So Lamela will play up top with either Ade or Soldado, which will serve him better.

They were never going to sell him then, and were not going to sell him this summer either mate. Honestly, what happened this summer was really the poorest I've seen yet. There were many plans in place for this season, and I think you can safely say that from Hong Kong on, AVB's world (and the club's) started spiraling...

I need to stop watching the Syfy channel as i keep pressing the car remote hoping it will fast forward to the close of the TW

This shit is so crazy, we're winning games, kept a clean sheet in the last game but still we're suppose to be the laughing stock of the EPL. Forget that Fulham are putting their season on Clint or Spam look like they might be going down from the weight of dildos or defensive Penis at Palace has now turned into a cnut (wide open and letting balls in)........I could go on about a few other clubs too.

I don't know enough about Sherwood personally to like or dislike him. I'm pissed off that Capoue, Holtby and Siggy are not getting any games. I feel stupid that we've spent £30m on "we can't let Arsenal get him" Lamela and he gets no game time (although he's played more minutes under Tim)

I appreciate the ITK and the whores but I think I'll wait until the end of the season to see where we are in the league before judging anyone. I just hope Tim can do the same with some of our players

If Tim Sherwood wants to get rid of Holtby, what signal will Tim send out to us??

I dont think Sherwood should lay a hand on the squad to much, because it is not for sure he will be in charge over the summer!

If Holtby goes out on loan I can take it but not for a sale

If this happen I am not so sure that Tim Sherwood is the right man....

Was Holtby a automatic starter under AVB ? No
Is Holtby a automatic starter now ? No
Will people who want Holtby to remain, be brave enough start him ahead of others (if fit) ? Sane answer would be No

I believe Holtby is happy to go after first team football & Sherwood believes he has enough cover to let him go. May be he has Caroll & Veljkovic in mind to fill in Holtby & Capoue spot.

Fans on one hand want their managers to play academy graduates but when they do, they name the manager as 'he doesn't know what he is doing'...

If as we constantly hear transfer decisions are made by committee then why is anyone blaming Sherwood? Lets be honest we have a lot of depth in midfield even if maybe we still lack a player with a certain skill set. With Bentalab coming through and potentially Carroll coming back in the mix we would be pretty heavy. Maybe the committee think OK we can let a couple go, we have enough strength in the skills area they provide. As far as we hear Holtby is not happy with the number of games he's getting and Sherwood has told him he can't guarantee him more and it's an amicable agreement with Sherwood, the player and the committee
It's still speculation at this stage even if it looks more likely, other possible players leaving are just that speculation and surely will not be Sherwood's decision alone

Wouldn't surprise me. The ITK I'm referring to posted his info around the time the Modric deal went through. He was saying that the price of that deal was calculated carefully in order to maximise the Bale sale.

I remember someone saying that actually but I've no idea who it was. It was definitely mentioned although at the time I was sceptical. No idea why I was, it would have been typical levy.

No way Bale was valued by Spurs as well as RM at 85m - when Modric deal was done. All these are mere speculation

So we sold Modric on the cheap to get maximum price on Bale??? I don't understand that.
(Edit: didn't Madrid still owe us some of the Modric deal when we sold them Bale?)

What I do understand is that the footballing side of the club appears to be a distant second to the financial side.

I want us to be well run, but I also want us to have a sporting chance of competing and winning trophies. The constant change is a detriment to any of that happening.

How much money does the club lose in agent fees? Must be pretty high with the turnover of players we have.

Sherwood's losing me real quickly if he let's any of our summer signings go.

If you think our manager/s are responsible for transfers and player sales then you know nothing about THFC.

Have you heard of someone called Daniel Levy?

We sell three world class players under AVB's management and it's Levy's fault.

We threaten to sell squad player who has never reached his potential under Sherwoods management and it's Sherwood's fault and he gets pelters for it.

Double standards!

Isn't the major argument for having a Director of Football that we don't have wholesale changes in player personnel (potentially costing us eye-watering amounts of cash) just because the manager changes? The Capoue story just makes no sense;

- bought here by Baldini
- barely here for 6 months
- has been injured for nearly half that
- forced to play in his less favoured position for at least half his appearances
- currently our only real cover at CB with Kaboul and Verts not yet fit

Just don't get it. If there's more to it then think the club needs to explain. Otherwise it just seems to massively undermine Baldini.

I really really really don't like Holtby being sold, but somehow somewhere I can understand if Tim thinks Lewis won't play much. However, selling Capoue, who is our only natural backup to Sandro..?

This is the first time our squad has got a real depth. Why change that?
