Are we thinking 'Just freed' means we have actually signed someone?

I wish I could switch off from all this transfer nonsense. It is no good for you. Always disappointing. And still 88 days to go?

If it did mean that, and the deal was concluded, it would have been far more helpful for The Goat to have just posted "We've signed someone". Wouldn't have given the identity away, but would have given people something concrete. Still, it keeps the site busy, I suppose. :)

But then the cryptic would be "We've signed someone from a French prison" which doesn't read as well as "Just freed from a French prison".

Long shot but....

Wasn't the character Lorry imprisoned in France in a tale of two cities?

TBH, with Levy being out of action, I can only see this being a Broomfield/academy signing like the two forwards last summer (Coulibaly and Ceballos)
