Can I just say, although the new server has obviously got issues. The mobile version of this site is absolutely superb!
100% agree mate. Makes reading it on my phone a lot easier/quicker.
Cheers SC. will donate after pay day :)

Yeah, I think Rob will soon be making an announcement regarding the recent server problems

Actually he already has.

As everyone's aware the server has been awful for the last few days and unfortunately it looks like we need to change to a different provider.

This means another server move and we will be moving to a UK company who specialise in high traffic forums. This will mean some downtime in the next week or so and I'll have more details then.

Apologies for the problems this week.

We expect the downtime to coincide exactly with the moment we announce our new manager and thirty six new signings ;)

Contrary to what ITKs say the Sun is reporting RM will be trying to sign David Silva.....enter Man C to come in for Modric?

Was there not ITK before about a player from bayern Munich who missed a penalty?

Surely with modric off this points to bastian schweinstieger, of we could tempt him and throw the lump sum of modric for him I'd be quite damn happy for the start of the season.

We can all have pipe dreams

Modric is irreplaceable. Selling him will set us back years IMO.

Bit of an overreaction. Yes he's a great great player. But if we use the money to buy two decent striker and get someone like Sahin to replace him, we certainly won't be going backwards.

I think the only person who knows whether Modric will be sold is Daniel Levy. Until mr Levy publicly say the club will let Modric go then no one knows for sure. I seriously doubt Mr Levy shares his thoughts regarding availability of star players openly to anyone else. Or mr Lewis for that matter. Until the new manager is officially appointed I doubt Levy would have made up his mind to sell a star player he always insisted we must hold on to.

My Ipad has already been hidden on many an occasion through my constant addiction to all things SC although I must admit, no 'dogbolting' occurred!

We can only hope it's a case of 1 step backwards for 2 steps forward but he is a special player Modric and there will be a void in the middle of the park in way of someone who can keep the ball adequately.

'certainly' is a strong word there. No one can know for sure. Sahin has not shown anything close to being Modric's standard to date.

Im looking at the bigger picture , we have progressed to the extent that we are now trading players with Real Madrid. They want our players and we can and have and will sign players that play for them.
Losing one player to Madrid is no biggy , Man utd lost Ronaldo to them and even Barca have been forced to accept their royal cash for their best players.
Its what we do next that counts.
Im sure Modders will always be a leg-end in these parts but we will strengthen other areas and keep progressing.
