Last season was a bonus with Modric...he may have stayed if we had CL but you never know.

Modric pulling in at least £30 million will be great for whoever the new manager is. I'm sure I've read somewhere recently that Levy will put all the money from player sales into the transfer kitty (if that report was to be believed).

And it was also first hinted at the end of May, in fact, The Goat posted it again on Monday so there's been plenty of opportunity for everyone to have their say about it in this thread. And they have. Several times over. So you tell me.......How many times should we regurgitate it? Also, it isn't so much a case of 'rules', more having a bit of consideration for others who don't want to scroll through pages of exactly the same stuff, posted by exactly the same people, that they first read at least twice over already.

We've provided a thread for it and i'm asking that it now go in there simply because there are a lot of people accessing the site on mobile devices and we don't want then getting RSI, they'd never be able to have a good high quality barclays again.

As a matter of fact, the ITK i refer to was posted at 1.32 this morning ..
Im not "regurgitating" it anymore than the mods who are putting up the ITK.

Yes, though I believe the consensus on any of our stars out, is how do you replace them, even if you have the money.

If Modric wants to go then i am afraid he is better playing abroad, than against us for another team in the premier league next season.
We all saw last year that at times his heart was not in it (especially during our bad patch) and if we can get £30m plus then i say go for it. I admit on his day his is a joy to watch and makes us tick, but he has to be committed otherwise he is not as effective

As previously stated, we may line up with Parker, Sandro holding and Rafa in front, so personally i would use the money to buy a top drawer forward.

I think the point was talking about the Modric ITK is one thing, debating about his replacement and as such playing fantasy football manager is probably another and should probably go in the specific thread.

That's how i read it... i am sure discussing info from 1am later that day when the usual suspects are awake is fine, but we don't half go off topic a lot as is.

I am sure there are ways and means of stating what you believe without needing to fly off the handle a little...

im holding onto hope that money we get that be all spent on making the team stronger as a whole and not look for like for like replacement. that aint going to happen. i still wont believe he is going to madrid till it actually happens though cos i think united and city will have something serious to say about that as maybe modric might!

but when clubs know you have money to burn they will fleece you and with that money who can you buy that is half decent? even m'villa lad in france is been talked about as 20 million and he is a defensive midfield type.
