Crazy turnaround on this one. deal can be struck very late and Chelsea have given us optimism they will negotiate till the deadline, all parties are confident in an agreement before 11PM. Hoijberg needs to get a move on to facilitate as stated this morn.

I’ve been absolutely silent this window because life comes at your fast & being overly invested in this team was adding way too much stress to an already stressful day-to-day.

I only say that to remark about how utterly calm I am today.

I, at first, thought it was because it seems so insignificant next to everything else I’ve got going on, but then realized that I’m still in knots about our fantasy football draft on Sunday, so that’s not it.

I realized I’m so calm because with the Kane saga finally settled, it feels like the club’s starting a new chapter, and as shocked as I am to say this, I like where we are.

I like the way we play. It’s fun. And its clear the players are HAVING fun again, which helps.

A full reset was never, ever going to happen in one window, and I really like who we’ve brought in and the development of the younger ones we’ve brought in previously (Udogie, Sarr).

When Conte was named manager I was ecstatic, but that soon turned to worry simply because I was worried that the smallest disagreement could cause him to snap and lose it, causing team disunity, and that’s kinda what happened.

It helps that Ange is so damn likable and from a personality standpoint, seems like a complete 180 from the likes of Conte and Mourinho.

maybe I’ll look like a fool in a couple of months, but for some reason, I’m just not that panicked today…

…and usually, I spend deadline days practicing my British slang to rant about Levy.

Which is wild to my co-workers and friends since I live in the US.

Think the point being made is that even Dier/Maguire/Carlton fucking Palmer would be lightyears ahead of any of us in ability, let alone taking into account the sheer levels of dedication it must take to get to the absolute pinnancle of a game that is played by close to a billion of amateurs.

All a game of onions and seeing the "disrespect" doesn't offend me, doesn't mean you don't look like a right tool doing it.

I updated this earlier it's Atletico holding the damn line. They are back in talks with Spurs now trying to do a loan with an obligation. I'm quietly confident Pierr will get his move today fingers crossed.

Christ on a bike, The bloke has been a great servant to the club and yes he may be on the wane now but the disrespect being thrown at Dier is shocking in my opinion. He may not play but he is a solid and intelligent bloke who I think would offer more being around than just tossed out if he cant find a move to suit him. State of some of the comments on here making me want to go all Will Smith and give it the take Eric Diers name out of yo mouths!!!

Whilst I agree (& haven't read the prev posts) I still hope he goes today as his time with the club has come to an end & we need him off the wage bill. Loan move this season & free next year would seem to be the best compromise for both parties
