IF lloris and Dier don't find clubs today there's the possibility they will be compensated to leave. There is also a discussion where we can sign Gallagher and keep Pierre if his move collapses today but I won't put this in the forum until I'm told I'm allowed.
Might get disagrees for this but we have to tread carefully here even if it would save us cash in the short term. This sets an awful precedent and every deadwood player will start rejecting moves so they can fleece us in this way. I'd personally loan Dier but if he won't move i'd just keep him as 5th choice behind Phillips. If he won't move then of course he's entitled not to but it's a very disappointing attitude to have from a so called top professional who has any ambition to get back in the England squad. For Lloris, we should probably make an exception.

I think we could probably present it as an exception for both of them, in thanks for their long service. But truth is we’ve already set a precedent for releasing players with Doherty and Aurier, and to a lesser extent Dele.

We've already set a precident with aurier, adebayor and Doherty. Too late for that.

1) Would we have room for him in our non HG quota 2). Why do you think he would be behind Phillips? 3) we have him a contract and can’t complain about his attitude if he wants to honour it

thanks again WLB, appreciate all your info. This really would be backing Ange if we somehow get Gallagher for him, despite PEH staying!

In terms of finances; agreeing to pay off the remainder of their contract and release them doesn't cost anymore than them running down their contract and leaving on a free transfer does it?

Presuming that they would not be included in the squad and would spend the year in the reserves, obviously.
