Yeah fuck the season as long as we make a quid or two.
It’s ok Trix mate…listen I don’t like to say anything but Rory Bremner is apparently in the building so we are cool. He is going to impersonate Bobby Moore so we are good for home grown too. 😉

There was no chance our team was going to be better no matter how many we signed and who we shipped out. The moment Kane decided to leave that was that. Ange has said he's not looking for a Kane replacement, he wanted players that can do the job he wants.

We brought in Brennan and that's on Anges decision. Even you said in previous posts "if Ange wants him then I have no complaints" so I don't understand your point now able Brennan not being good enough.

In fact, this is one of your posts from earlier in the transfer window:

"For all our (justified) complaints about ins at times (the lack of a new CB since Romero the most obvious example) outs has been a far bigger problem. If we could clear out the dead wood and buy a GK, CB, LB and AM/winger plus a couple of depth options (second CB most important) I’d expect us to make the CL next year. The operative word in that sentence is ‘if"

The only thing missing is a second back up CB but you're now no longer convinced we can challenge for UCL based on the to and fro of deadline day?
That back up CB was imperative though. If Dav goes we have Dier and Davies as back ups in a high line.

We needed two first squad cb's and Phillips is not that.
Neither Dier, nor Davies are quick enough for our new style and Big Dav just isn't good enough.
So we've pretty much left ourselves with two decent cb's and then a massive drop off in quality.

On the whole, yes, the window has been pretty good as we've got some real talents in but there's a gaping hole in the back line depth.
I don't disagree but that gaping hole is smaller now than it was before. You can't just sign 25 new players and replace a squad, you know this. We filled some important holes with decent options and now we need to plan for January to continue the improvement

He's going into his last 12 months mate. As much as I'd like to think it couldn't happen I can't see Levy not taking the money.

then any injury and we are screwed. If Sanchez leaves and Dier’s contract is torn up then we will have to either put Royal and Davies at CB or hope Philips can do a job.

I’ve given up the fight lads, hoping for some good news, but time to let missus on the Tav and I’ll join her for a foot spa treatment instead, embracing my inner girl.

Come on bro. We’ve needed cbs for multiple seasons. We’ve signed 1….. we need another one is blatantly obvious.

Sends a shiver down my spine just thinking about it.

Also the same Dier that hasn't even been included in any match day squads so far....

Unless it's an exorbitant fee for Sanchez, I fail to see the logic in now selling him in this window.
From what I understand we've set a price, if PSV hit it he can go.

I'm hoping common sense prevails and Levy calls it off or he pulls a rabbit out of the hat. I'm not holding my breath though.
