Two of which are being used as transfers in this window to justify lack of signings now
Who's using them to justify lack of signings? I'm certainly not, and I don't think the club are either. Sure their permanent deals go down on this year, but that's not why we haven't signed more players, and it'd be silly to think that.

People say it's not as easy as it's made out. We know that, that's why we don't understand why the approach is have such a complex network of activity to do in the last 12 hours of the window

A lot of good work done earlier in the window but the bottom line is we still have about 5 to many players, sold our greatest ever played and not even tried to replace him, have one striker in the squad and are a Romero / VDV injury away from an absolute disaster. Negligence, pure negligence!

He could make 100 signings mate it's irrelevant. The plain and simple fact is every window we are always left short in certain areas. We've got a massive squad and yet we are still thread bare at CB considering what Ange requires them to do.

We've done some decent business but that is overshadowed by selling our greatest ever goalscorer. I'm not going to go all in because I've said it all before and it's pointless.

Things will never change until there's change.
I agree on the cb but again, who knows if we're short or whatever that means. Maybe if we got in Tosin he would have been worse than Dier deputising this season. Or maybe Romero and VDV don't get injured.

I just don't think a squad is ever complete or perfect. You can always point out a weak link in every team that could have been improved.

I see us, in the last 3 years, being very active, making smarter signings, and building what I think is a damn good squad. Not a perfect one - the job isn't over, but as long as we're better after every window I'll take that.

And yes, Kane makes this a lot harder to swallow. We'd probably have been better this season with him, but certainly not next season without him and a chunk to reinvest in the coming windows.

That “midfield in need” was Bissouma and Sarr. We had them but Levy’s awful managerial appointments nullified them. Our star goal scorer on the way out has now gone and not been replaced. We’re still in need of CBs. We lost our DOF and somehow hired a director of football operations and lost him before he started. Our major investor is looking at doing time for insider trading (and there’s no way Levy stays clean in that). Ange is the only bright spot in all of that and in his own words he needed another CB and Levy’s left him short (and fuming by all accounts).
Ange is fuming? 👀

I’m sorry, but who does he think he’s going to sign for? Is he another PEH? Thinking he deserves to play for champions league level clubs? Some of these players are so deluded man:

The leadership committee all looking after themselves. Makes me wonder how much their actual leadership behind the scenes has contributed to us going backwards than forwards.

I don’t blame Kane for leaving, hed had enough of the club and wants to test himself and has some ambition but the rest of them are apparently happy with their lot.

I’m pissed off we didn’t get another striker and centre back but maybe we will look back on this window a bit like when Poch had to deal with the kaboul and adebayor v Kane and Mason mutiny and things will change for the better. Let’s hope so anyway, we all deserve it.

He's a trooper but in a high line as a starter...? I'm also more worried about left back. Udogie is fantastic but a kid - he will have down periods for sure. Just have to hope Perisic and Davies can cover but that's why I'm more worried about VDV going down. Dav can cover RCB but not the left...
I don't disagree on the Udogie factor. But honestly Ben would be fine in a high line.
