Injuries are a lot more likely if you make them play 7 games in 28 days
It’s 2 games a week for gods sake. It’s what they would be playing most weeks if we were in Europe.
Injuries are a lot more likely if you make them train everyday! It comes with the territory

..and of the viable CB options, Tapsoba (wanted to leverage a better contract) and Tosin, (wanted to go to Monaco instead). Glad we didn't buy a CB that was less than, less than perfect just to stop the baying mob. Ange seems happy for now, positive words about youth promotion, and we can go back into the CB market in Jan if we want with £15m in the bank (a potential first installment).
So they could only draw a list of 2-3 defenders in the whole time the window was open ? Not that they didn't have enough time. But again Levy tjought he play the long game and try to outwit and outlast to the last day. Very rarely does it seem to work and he is still living on his Van De Vaart deal.

I don't know mate, there likely were more, but those are the names ITK lined us to. Oh and Laporte.. so 3. But it does get to the point where option 4 or option 5 aren't actually worth it when Phillips has been impressing AND we can get £15m for Dav AND also promote youth. I like this approach, otherwise why even have an academy.

With Davies, Royal, Philips, Dorrington, Peresic, Sess - and yes even Dier in a pinch.. we've got bodies that can cover an injury. But yes we need one more CB at least. I'm pretty relaxed about it.

There were 2 centre backs available for sale in the summer window. That’s incredible.

Ange was by all accounts not happy. Just because he doesn’t act out in public like a spoiled child like our last manager doesn’t mean he didn’t want another CB

You’ve just listed a winger and 3 FBs as cover for CB. Oh and two players with 8 senior appearances between them

I be more than delighted if Phillips or Donnington step up and we don't need a cb in January.
The problem it is a lot of pressure on very young inexperienced players at this level.
I guess we will see and hopefully i'm proved wrong but i feel Levy has once against dealt the manager and fans a bad hand in not getting a cb and proper replacement for Kane.

Ange had Phillips on the bench, clearly thinks he's ready for Prem football. How old does someone need to be before they're 'ready'? Evan Ferguson is only 17, and many here want to sign him! Aaron Lennon was only 16 when he made his debut for us in the Prem.
Ferguson is 19 next month and Lennon was 18 when made his debut for us in the prem. 16 for Leeds. Stop making up numbers.

If Ange wasn't fussed about losing Kane, and not bringing in another striker, I doubt he will be fussed about losing Sanchez without bringing in another CB.

He had a world class finisher in Sonny ready to be repurposed as a striker after signing two wide players to rebalance the attack.

No comparison.

Worse still we turned down money for Dav from Rennes 2 days ago, only to sell him for a few more pennies and spread over 5 years.

It isn’t defensible.

I think people are in denial as they don’t want to break with the post Conte positivity.

I'm not against us selling Sanchez, for decent money too with only a year left, but to do it after the window has closed is fucking risky. I know we need to cash in now, but how the fuck didn't we see this coming and get in another CB? Atleast one that is.

Not only that, now every club in the bloody world knows we're desperate for centre backs, so Januarys going to be fun..

Perhaps they drew up a list of 6-7 defenders and Postecoglu whittled it down because he didn't want the others, then one wasn't for sale at anything like a realistic price and one wanted to go to Monaco.

Or they’re not jumping to conclusions based on 0.5% of the information.

Or we can draw conclusions based on what Ange has said publicly about needing a CB, and observable actions of the past 48 hours.

Why else have we been bidding for CBs for the past 3 months right up until Friday evening, if we didn't feel we needed one?

If Romero is injured we have Philips a young 18 year old to come in if Sanchez isn’t available. That is more than slightly exposed, that is taking a big risk. This is a very clear case of will the club put the interests of the football first or money first.
Its quite possible that we're putting Davinsons needs ahead of our squad balance. The news at the start of the window was that he wanted to leave (I don't blame him). There was nothing to suggest HE had changed his mind only that Ange was willing to allow him to stay

What are these "all acounts" that Ange isn't happy by?

He said in an interview or two that he was hoping on another defender in after VDV, but I can't really remember much more being said than that.

And if you're basing it off ITK, we really need to remember that it's all coming through multiple people, from different sources, some of whom have been providing info from well before Ange took over, and so to assume they legitimately know what he thinks or feels about seems a bit of a stretch. But of course if it bolsters the anti-Levy bias, it MUST be true.

Ange seems a pretty straight up and down guy with the media, him saying he's fine with it probably means he's fine with it. Not saying he wouldn't have liked another one, but there's a big distance between liking another, and being pissed off that it hasn't happened.

But but the AgEnDa must not be stopped!
