I'm from Swansea and although I live in Bristol now so don't see that many games Bodde is by far the best player on that team. He seems to be one of those players (like Jimmy Bullard, perhaps) that slipped through the cracks early in his career and now is playing below where he is worth. Martinez has put together a fantastic side. Derby were desperate to buy Bodde in the summer but the club resisted. By the end of the season Swansea will be up there and Bodde will be more highly rated. I'm not sure if he's good enough for spurs but he's a damn fine player.

I'm from Morriston..Where were you located?

Was albelda really ever an option. quality player no doubt about it.

i dont think the player we need has to be experienced. mikel at chelsea is showing you dont have to be an old head.

I think your misunderstanding my point. Its not a neccesity to have a DM who is "experienced", obviously someone with talent and skill who is young could do the job, but its the effect an experienced player has on the rest of the midfield / team. Chelsea dont need mikel to be experienced, what he lacks in that department is made up players like ballack, lampard and deco.

At spurs we dont have that in the middle of the park. Players like JJ,Lennon,Bentley,Gio,Modric etc.. will not look up to a 23 year old (veloso?) and respect what he has to say as much as they would say Albelda who has been their and done it to some extent and knows what he is talking about.

i totally agree with that rackybear.

it would be even better if we didnt have to buy so many players every season, so that we could have players who have been at the club for a number of years, people like hyypia or scholes/giggs/neville. although they play different positions they've been there long enough to earn the respect of younger players and new signings and also fans. unfortunately we are in this position with the way we trade for a profit.

Steady what is all this SC harmony about?:duh:
I find myself agreeing with the right honourable gentleman too.:eek:mg:
It would help the club and fans stuck unanimously behind the manager for a few seasons, so we didn't change players like some sort of recycling system.
