England are still capable of some confused and panicky defending. Sometimes, there s nothing wrong with hoofing it. Faffing about like that could be costly

Don't know how you'd qualify a pass that was 5 yards too heavy as a great pass.

Mate you only need to not be wasteful once and you can win the game. But, he is offering a lot, linking up well with others, he's created a few chances for others. But also worrying the defene, destablising it.
He's playing Nigeria today, not Germany, Brazil, France, Argentina or Spain. He'll not get a sniff against the bigger teams and considering he needs half a dozen chances to score before he does get a tap in I don't see him winning a game against the big boys for us.

He's looked good today against an awful team and despite this he's been wasteful and booked for diving.

Probably planning to start Vardy next game.

The bigger question is how did he make the final squad?

I wonder that too. Lack of options? Odd choice, he works hard and runs and runs. But just isn't clinical enough.

But he creating those chances mate, his movement is superb. The point is Stirling gets more chances than other players, because he is a seriously good player.

Nigeria are not awful, very few teams who make the world cup ever are. This kind of arrogance does get to me. England at the moment struggle with pressure against any team.

I think Stirling i s one of, if not outright, England's best players. Its bizzare that a lot of England fans don't get that

You know, I actually really quite like this England squad, which is odd after simply tolerating them for so long with ****s like Terry and Gerrard in it.

Other than maybe bringing in Vardy, the starting lineup today has to be the one we keep. Rashford and Welbeck aren't winning us anything

Yes I'm warming to them too. But As Hoddle has said, their movement has stagnated this second half. Probably just friendlyitus. But still, decent bunch of lads.

I think it's partly because it's obvious that they all actually want to be there, and be playing, and giving their best.

I think a drop off after 60 mins in a pre-tourny friendly is to be expected really, especially as we are 2-1 up. Good practice of match management.

You wont get 10 chances against those teams though. Theres no end product. He gets 10 chances for Man City and scores 1 if he's lucky.
I'd play Rashford or Vardy with Kane.
Greedy fucker never cut it back for Kane once either. Just kept shooting from ridiculous angles.
Not a fan but each to his own.
