Pre covid twice a week. We're miles behind over here with opening up and I can't get on the time sheet it fills so quickly when it goes live. Really frustrating.

Yeah it's tricky, I can only really play after 5.30pm mid-week, and even then it's a bit of a push, but you have to be up at the crack of dawn to book....

How often do you guys play? Before last year I only ever played once or twice a year, and inevitably never really improved.

Since last year I've been trying to play at least once a week and have managed to knock a good 15 or so off my scores, which is really pleasing. Would love to play even more regularly and keep improving, but unfortunately I can't really get away with sacking off work at 4pm every day :(
Trying for once a week after work (anything else a bonus) but tees are rammed at my home course and I can't do weekends at the moment due to cricket season and family commitments. Milford is proving great value at £11 after 5 but is getting busy so last night we finished in near darkness.

I play 9 holes one evening per week then 18 at the weekend, sometimes 27 if I can prise my step-son off the Xbox and out of the house!

My course is 10 mins in the car, so I can finish work at 4:30pm and tee off at 5pm, no issues, which I know is a very lucky situation to be in.

I try and play once a week and I can just about hang on to single figures so you can stay where you are but you can’t improve. Obviously the better you get the more difficult it becomes (to improve)

Over the years I’ve found the only way to really really improve is to play twice a week and practice once a week!! Can get to low single figures doing that…

If you can play a few times a year to single figures you’re either lying, kidding yourself or unbelievably, abnormally talented

Hows Royal Norwich? I’ve organised our golf trip this year. We’re off to Norfolk

Thetford on the way up, then Sheringham, Cromer & Hunstanton
Not played there before so August will be the first, have played Sheringham which is lovely, played Barnham Broom which is on the way up to Norfolk and also played at Great Yarmouth & Caister club which is cracking (the area is not), the course is intertwined with the race track and you cross it 3 or 4 times battling against the wind, great fun.

Visited family outside Norwich last year and had the pleasure of playing Bungay & Waveney GC twice, loved it. Inland links is the best way I can describe it.

Yeah its tough. I got down to single figures at around 15 years of age and I've never really gotten any better than 6 since. Currently 6.9 and that was once a week last year and the year before. Work, kids, life in general since the age of 16 takes up so much time that once a week is a stretch.

If I can hopefully get the kids involved then I've got more chance of getting out a couple of times a week. My 8 year old has been to the range once with me pre Covid and is asking to go again so that's something. The other 2 are under 2 so a while away yet for them.

Who has everyone got for the US Open?

I've gone for Patrick Reed (best short game on Tour, will be needed in that rough!), Xander, Spieth, Homa and JT.

£1 on each...potentially life changing returns! ;)

This is looking like it will be an epic back 9 in the US Open

Really hope Rory can do it but fear De Chambeau and I backed Rahm before the tournament

So pleased for Rambo, especially after the debacle two weeks before. Gutted for Rory but at least he was in contention on the final day but was just not his day with the putter going cold.
