Matthew Dunn ‏@MattDunnExpress Jan Vertonghen likely to be out to New Year after AVB confirms ankle ligament damage. Will be in a boot for two weeks...

Rose - Available for selection Thursday
Erikssen - Available for selection Thursday
Chiriches - Probably available for selection Sunday

Bad news :
Vertonghen - Probably out until New Year
Kaboul - remains out
Kane - remains out

One of the least reported and probably the on I'm most gutted about strangely. He took his chances so well earlier in the year, and was really looking forward to him getting more game time. Think he has what it takes to make it with us.

Certainly took his chances against Hull (goal, hit cross bar, near miss and took a good penalty etc - and all in about 45 minutes), not sure that this match is one that will last in the memory as its a dead rubber, but it would certainly have been good to get 90 minutes under his belt.

Think its going to be difficult to get lots more game time at Spurs this season - although I would prefer him to stay - and I'm not sure which PL team he could get regular playing time on loan from January onwards

Is there any latest on the vertonghen injury. I think he is the single most important player for us at the minute. We have adequate replacements for other players all around the pitch but not for jan

hmm 19th January, that means he is going to miss some really important games. I think we need to go out and buy a big centre half early this January. Ive been a massive fan of dawson and think he can still do a job for us but he worries me too much

Sandro hoped to be back for Man Utd a week or two ago, so he might feature on NYD, if not should be in the squad for the NLD.

Hoping this is not true, but it looked a nasty tackle - and Charlie Adam does seem to have a track record against Spurs players - but it might just be bruising which will heal more quickly..

Hotspur Related ‏@HotspurRelated Paulinho has been ruled out for four weeks following Charlie Adams tackle on him versus Stoke.

If we had the same no of injuries in the late 90s we'd have been playing the u11's. At least we have a squad that can cope. Still Adam is one prick!!

Agreed but it is such a shame that after his best display so far he can't get a run of games to build on it. Shame for us fans also who were looking forward to seeing this.

Grrr words fail me re adam. Actually they don't but I prefer not to print what I think of him right now. I'm guessing he got wound up by paulinho's flicks & tricks so decided if he can't catch him then to do him instead. Useless Thug to put it mildly.

Not good news

Fuck me. Good job we have the squad to cope.

Ridiculous the midfield and attacking options we still have despite the injuries. It does seem to be a problem that's been going on for years at Spurs, we really need to review the medical department.
