Yes, you're right, sorry. Read it wrong. Even better if we can give up that 50% to reduce the price of Porro.
I think considering who represents him if that release clause is correct, it's a deal we could do.

Porro would be ideal. Looks like he’s a winner too with the right mentality.

Seems City also have a 30% sell on clause. Although doesn't really affect the price much if we pay the £40m release clause

Buy back clause I believe that is about half of the release clause in his contract. Not sure if that gives them first refusal or not if someone matched the release clause.

Realistically, Bastoni and another CM but who knows who that will be.

If we can match last January we will be all good for the second half of the season, so 2 decent additions.

Anything else would be a bonus to me.

Porro, Gakpo and a creative midfielder and I think we are fine for the rest of the season. Porro could be made cheaper if we give up the rights to Edwards, Gakpo is probably £35m and then a creative midfielder like Daichi Kamada (contract is up in the summer) would round us out well. I don’t really know what players we will go for and these are just suggestions, but those are the obvious areas to address for me.

hard to get either of those, nevermind in the winter. I do like Kamada though, but he's a bit lightweight.

6th AM of quality is paramount imo. We see how big a difference it makes to us when Kulu and Richarlison are both out.

Do we know if we actually had money left over from our projected budget from the summer?

Porro seems an obvious one really but I assumed the reason we hadn't moved for him is because he isn't physically imposing.

By many accounts they were prepared to splash out for someone like Bastoni, so in theory we should have a decent chunk left over
