How much Enzo Fernandez cost?

I know it’s a position where we are relatively strong, but what a player.

This is infuriating to me. The money is there to be invested in the squad.

We've still got £50m of the capital injection that has yet to be drawn down, and then there are the CL earnings from this season which are currently estimated to be in the region of £80m (including matchday revenue) even if we lose both of the upcoming matches against Milan. That's not even accounting for potential player sales, meager as they are likely to be.

I'm sure I remember Ally Gold reporting about a month ago that the intention was to use the remaining £50m, plus the CL revenue, on the squad. For Levy to play silly buggers with one of the winningest managers of his generation, when the club happens to be flush with cash at exactly the moment when clubs all over Europe are reeling financially and likely need to sell, is unforgiveable.
Why do people think we are flush with cash? There is still stadium debt to be repaid, no stadium name deal, and flush with cash today would really imply transfer kitty's of £150m every summer plus player sales. We are not flush with cash. Lewis only puts money when he really really has to.

Dumfries showed more attacking nous in the first half against the U.S. than Emerson has done in his entire time at Spurs. He also has the physical profile of a Conte wingback. Get him in.
I expect Conte wanted him in last summer.

We absolutely are flush with cash mate. The stadium more than pays for itself -- we may have debt to pay down, but it was financed at historically low interest rates and the increased matchday revenues are substantially in excess of the debt payments. That will become more and more true as time goes on.

We rank in the top ten clubs in the Deloitte Money League and two of the clubs above us (Barca and Juve) are in outright financial crisis. The current ranking comes from a season with no CL football and doesn't account for the £150m capital injection over the summer. Make no mistake, there are only a handful of clubs in world football with greater spending power than us.

We may not be able to splash £150m per summer like you're suggesting. Only financially doped clubs such as City, PSG, or Newcastle can do. But we are absolutely capable of backing Conte with a handful of signings over the next two windows. It's purely a question of whether Levy is willing to do so.

Whatever it is that’s happened behind the scenes that Trix and Hercules have heard to make Levy revert to type, here’s hoping something else can happen soon to revert him back again
Really don’t get why Levy wants to go from a proven winner in Conte, who is probs top 3 managers in the world to the almost man Poch. I did enjoy some of the football we played under him but after the summer of no signings and after the CL final we were dreadful. He is not the messiah and it’s way too soon for him to come back.

Just heard from a Danish physio friend that Hojberg has been telling Maehle all about Spurs. Not sure I can see it unless he is willing to play RWB until Perisic leaves. I do love the way Denmark use their width to stretch games. That's exactly what we keep failing to do.

As much as I’m sure we can all agree that Porro would be a great option I simply don’t see it being an option we pursue…

I think Conte won’t find him physical enough, won’t trust him coming from the Liga NOS or hasn’t coached him prior in a way that he has with DD

maybe in a summer window he could be an exploitable option, but I seriously think that DD represents a solid option with decent output, readymade for the league whom Conte has prior knowledge of him…

helps that they allegedly want Emerson and therefore a deal could be worked there

I like Porro, and think he is everything out WB’s should be, but I honestly see no way that he comes here in Jan
Yeah Conte would 100% prefer Dumfries given the choice. Porro might be the more technical, intelligent, creative option but a 6'2" wing back who has a knack for scoring and plays in Italy...that's the most Conte signing imaginable even if he's limited in many other ways.

That said, either would surely be a sizeable upgrade on Royal and really help us to get top 4 this season...

Saw a potential unconvential pick up in January. The guy works with his head well and has a clear understanding of where the goal is. haven't seen much of him in turns of running but i suspect he could outrun just about anyone on the pitch and run all day long. Pretty inexpensive and the only downside I've heard so far is that he likes to hoof it and is a bit of a showboat when he scores.

edit. Probably shouldn't play him against Wolverhampton though

Been linked with Josip Juranovic of Celtic apparently. Could cost as little as £5M in January.
I know nothing of him, but he is a Croation international. 27 y/o RB, who looks like peak Dani Alves in the 2 min YouTube video I watched.
I like him, seen him a few times for Celtic hes too good to be playing in the SPL
