Liverpool agree £10m for Jose Enrique from Newcastle.

Takes them up to £55m invested in the squad this summer.

Do Newcastle hate their fans? I think Ashley's trying to make as much money as he can before he fucks off. I know Enrique wants out, but Carroll didn't.

For the love of the God I hope they throw some of that our way...they'll need a replacement for Barton now anyway

He has every right to get as much money as he can. Hes invested a huge amount into that club.

Cant blame him for caroll. Could not turn down that offer.

Why am i talking about this in here:oops:

Have a look beneath Liverpool's first team and the strength is paper thin. Their 25 man squad won't sustain a winter campaign of suspensions and injuries - actually make that 24, as Gerrard has done his groin again and is out until September at least.

Liverpool are spending top end money on mid level players (Suarez excluded, it still angers me to this day that we let him slip away despite him practically begging to come here), not worried about them in the slightest. The still need some centre backs, maybe they can take Bassong off our hands and weaken their defence a bit more

Did I say he doesn't have every right? Or did I say that's what I think he's doing?

Can we stop claiming things as fact when they're not? I can't see anything to suggest they've agreed a fee for Enrique.

Liverpool haven't signed anyone this summer worth worrying about. They are building a squad as it was so poor.
I have money on Kenny not lasting the season.

I think Pool have paid too much for their signings but all of them strengthen them.
So long as they can now afford it I'd expect them to improve.

Liverpool have done really bad signings this year, and they have paid overprice.
They believe they have done good deals, but the case is that they have not.

Will will have an advantage on them in the future if they keep doing it like this.

We just have to make sure we put it right.

Well the pressure is on Kenny Daglish to deliver this season.

“It’s too early for us to start talking about winning the league,” he said. “In my opinion Manchester United are the ones to beat. They have a good squad, and look really good.

“Our main goal is to qualify for the Champions League. If we don’t it would be a major disappointment.”

That's what John Henry said a couple of days ago. I really really can not see them getting into the Champions League.

A sportmans bet obviously!

But you said you have money on it?

By the way I think you are spot on that he will leave. I actually think he will quit rather than be sacked. I admire that they are backing their manager, but the signings are not those that you would expect of such a big team.

So where has this fee been agreed then? Not on either clubs site, not even reported on SSN...................

No europa will help that though

Liverpools B team is not that bad. But saying that Kuyt could even get into our first team and Meireles wouldn't be too far behind either

Reina
Johnson Carragher Agger Enrique
Henderson Gerrard Adam Downing
Suarez Carroll
-------------------------------------------
Kuyt Ngog
Aquilani Leiva Meireles J.Cole
Insua Kyrgiakos Wilson Flanagen

Actually I think irrespective of the price the signing themselves are very good. There are right for what the club needs and I think will do well for them. The players can't be blamed for the prices paid for them.
