The incident happened at a World Cup, which falls under FIFA jurisdiction.
The ban is against the PLAYER, not the CLUB.
If they issue a ban just for certain games, how do they justify him biting for a FOURTH time during his international-only ban. They are the world authority for football and they have the power to stop him biting ANYONE again, at ANY match.
All logic clearly confirms he should be banned from playing for Liverpool.
It's Liverpool for fucksake.
They'd spontaneously evaporate into a stinking miasma of self-righteousness if they didn't have something to feel victimised about. It's a kindness to them really.
