I’d imagine it would cost a fair bit more than 42 mill to get Poch, he comes as part of a team they must of signed similar length contracts albeit on less money I’m guessing.
He ain’t gonna just leave them hanging can’t see that, wouldn’t like to say how much they’re on though.
Then there’s the wages.

My posts per day were under the limit over the last six motnths. So marches over naked while people in the streets threw tomatoes at me and an woman in robes sais "shame" in front of me.
New job and all, so less time to talk spurs really. Hope to contribute more over here.

They are slowly banning themselves into fucking oblivion...the former house of POTL.....PMSL

Mauricio Pochettino: Tottenham manager's contract does not contain Real Madrid clause

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino's new contract does not contain a clause allowing him to leave for Real Madrid.

The 46-year-old Argentine, who signed a five-year extension with the Premier League side last week, is the early favourite to replace Zinedine Zidane.

Poch should just say at today’s press conference that if anyone wants to know if he’s leaving then you should buy the book the answers are in there.

Given the constant narrative that seems to have infected any and all reporting on the club for the past few years (ie "Yeah, they're good, but they'll all leave when a bigger club comes along") it would be quite the message for our manager, the 1st choice of what many assume to be his dream job, to say "no thanks, I'd rather stay at Tottenham".

The icing on the cake would be for Madrid to be forced to settle for their 2nd choice - Jurgen Klopp.

I don't think he's leaving.

However, on a point of technicality, would Madrid actually have to pay £40+ million to get him, or is that just a figure someone has calculated based on the value and length of his contract?

Not sure on contract law but I believe it is generally just precident that you buy out a manager's contract as compensation. CharlesRich82 on twitter just did a whole thread on this topic.
