It’s been a great run, Poch, and I will enjoy this last season of it. Too bad Levy outright refuses to back you. Sad to see it end like this but I am not surprised in the slightest. Levy will never change even if we get bought up by Qatar or Dubai and he stays on as chairman.
Yup, refused to back Pochettino, that's Levy alright.
Refused to play the expensively acquired and handsomely paid stars, instead pushing youth, ostracising the big earners and making the club incur losses on all of them, Levy backed him.
Summer 2015, wanted Alderweireld more than any other player. Levy went and got him, even though to get him he had to insert a clause which means Toby now has us over a barrel, and Levy never does written clauses. Why, to back Pochettino.
Summer 2016, wanted Wanyama more than any other player. Levy went and got him, even though we already had the proven partnership of Dembele and Dier, not to mention players like Bentaleb and Mason still on the books (both homegrown by the way and costing far less in salary, and both very able players at that point). Why, to back Pochettino.
Last summer, Levy breaks our transfer record to bring in a young centre back with one years experience in a second tier European league, he sells Walker (HG) because Pochettino has fallen out with him and goes on to buy a player to replace him from PSG because Pochettino still has close ties there and has been told Aurier would be a good signing if he could manage his eccentricities. Why? To back Pochettino.
Stop being such a sensationalist, revisionist, angry man. If you hadn't noticed, the actual football (remember, that's the sport Spurs compete in) begins and as far as I'm concerned, just like the rest of my life, I have missed watching us all summer and are far more interested in and excited by that than any business we will or won't do in the next 27 hours. That should apply to you to and anybody else who genuinely thinks of him or herself as a supporter of this fine club.
