Geoff Shreeves just tweeted:
Just spoke to @SpursOfficial manager Mauricio P admitted his English isn’t the best and he is very happy at the club, just frustrated on Friday when he spoke to the media.

And the slippery media bastards know how to use his Spanglish and twist it around.

But that doesn't follow the narrative in here...i'm confused.

To be fair mate he might have been reminded by the club of his responsibilities and changed his tune, the fact is none of us really know what he is really feeling.

For however much I love poch. If he has won nothing after 5 seasons with arguably the strongest all round squad we’ve had for close on 60 years you have to start to wonder. If you said to me would I feel more confident winning something if Conte was in charge next season with a decent budget probably.

Why not give Poch a decent budget?

He's ever had one?

I mean regardless of the meaning it was very obvious he gave the quotes on Friday and the press sat on it until Sunday before the game (either by request or by choice) since they all came out with it at the same time. I don't doubt Poch is sincere when he says this year has been his toughest and prob his least satisfying season. I also bet if someone asked Levy in a honest moment he'd also tell you this has been among his toughest years at the club with all the stadium issues. Does that forgive either of them for their fuckups? No. Does that mean either of them won't move on to the delight or sadness of fans? Nope. It just is how it is and the sooner people realize not everything is a conspiracy and sometimes people in power just get things wrong and there are consequences. I hope Poch doesn't go. I also hope Levy doesn't sell just yet. I actually think both are what's best for the club right now but I know that may also be unrealistic and both have eyes on different ambitions.

Well that's nonsense...there's lads in this very thread who know every thought that runs through his mind :sneaky:

I would be surprised if Poch isn’t with United at the end of the season.
It’s possible.
I think he’d be fantastic there, actually. With proper backing, you could see him winning lots of trophies and being there for years.
While we watch from the sidelines, pootling around in mid table in a big half empty stadium.....:bored:

Said it in the match thread, not good enough to coach Real Madrid
I love him from the bottom of my heart but his in game management is shit, he makes the same mistake every time

I know this won't be popular but if he has any sense, he'll take the Madrid job. He's not been properly backed and he's probably taken this team as far as he can. I hope he stays but I would totally understand if he chose to take it.

Would be nice if he could stop picking players on reputation.

I don't really think u can use this game as an example of that, aside from perhaps playing Dembele.

His alternative to Dier is Wanyama...
His alternative to Trippier is Aurier...
His alternative to Davies is injured...
His alternative to Kane is Llorente...

Not the lineup I wanted to see today but he really doesn't have many options.

Maybe Wanyama and Aurier would build up some decent form if afforded the rub of games Trippier and Dier have had.

That Winks hasn’t been starting ahead of Rip Van Dembinkle is nothing short of disgusting.

Exactly this. Which is what I was trying to say in the match thread and people thought I was wanting him sacked.
