It would definitely be a smart move to bring a couple young players into the squad now. Our best players may not be at the club in the next 1-3 seasons.

as much as I like Pochettino, I feel he's gotten WAY too many plaudits for a manager whose next trophy will be his first. all this "best manager in the league" nonsense is embarrassing when you consider the combined achievements of Guardiola, Mourinho, Conte, Klopp, Wenger, and even Benitez. I'm not saying they're necessarily all better than him, but for so many of us to be hailing him as the best when he's not really achieved anything yet is just stupid.

he's done a very good job up to now, but he has to take the blame for the way the squad is currently composed, as well as the way it is being managed at the moment. we've been poor more often than not this season. Wembley has gotten all the blame for this, but that's 3 away defeats now. it's not a Wembley thing at all

this is not me suggesting anything crazy like his position being under threat, but he really does need to show what he's made of now.
His player recruitment is awful, sanchez aside.

I note that you conveniently left out beating Real Madrid and Dortmund...

........weird how the players are up for it in the champions league....and not that league though? Wonder what happens when you show you can do it on the big stage.

Or I wonder if any of our squad are still in toxin with mr walker

This is why we were dead against selling Kyle Walker.

The players can see what he's doing at City and will want it even more now. Selling Walker sent out all the wrong messages and were going to pay for it massively.

Has to be bold with changes i'm afraid. No more bottling it. He simply cannot ignore the problems, especially in midfield.

He has either got to give some more youth players a chance or look to address things in the transfer market.

Could easily be argued the midfield issue are of his own making. Dembele at the base of the diamond clearly didn’t work in NLD yet he played exact same formation again.Everything we’ve done in last 2 seasons was built on a solid defence with 2 infront of them. Now they only have 1 infront and half the time that 1 isn’t even a DM. Honestly think he’s got carried away with his own hype and tried to be to clever. Yes wanyama hasn’t helped. But could easily have gone to a 4 tonight and played Dier/dembele. Or played davies or foyth in a 3 and pushed Dier into midfield. But instead persisted with dembele lone pivot.

Still doesn't have anything to do with Pochettino and your original argument...

Tonight I'm just looking over at Dyche with Burnley and can't help but think would he have lost that game?

Also he's English (I think, he never really mentions it so not sure) so might do well with our English boys as he knows more about the style over here and also might be able to have proper conversations with them about like birds n stuff rather then poch just talking about 'philosophy' and writing fucking books all the fucking time, I'm sick of this: its football not book writing ffs!

I don’t doubt him but I am concern that the players don’t look as interested and up for it as they did last season and the one before.
Are they burnt out, low on confidence or genuinely starting to get pissed off with it all?

Hopefully just the first 2 and once we start winning and mabye rotating a bit it will come good again.

I’d actually start Lamela, Son and Llorente vs Watford, Kane, Eriksen and Alli need a rest.

Lamela won’t be ready for a starting spot after so long out as much as we need his active style. And honestly I have no faith at all in Llorente.

These players should be buzzing with the Champions league performances. I just think wembley is utterly crap and it’s affected them.

100% agree. If we can't freshen up the squad in the window then we should look to our academy.

Forget about Kane for a moment because we all know his story. Using Bentaleb and Mason as a midfield pair in Poch's first season brought energy and spirit to our play and that's what we look short of.

Maybe it needs another youngster to bring it back because young players are fearless and daring.

When Alli and Eriksen are having stinkers it makes me more infuriated how Edwards still doesn't get on the bench. What is there to lose...?

I'd hope/like to think Poch will turn to the youth like he has done in the past.

Fingers crossed.

Lads, we're just going through a bad spell. Poch will get it right. We're (obviously) not winning the title. But top 4 is very much on. What we need is to get behind the manager and the team. We still have an incredible side that just needs to start firing again.
