I've been worrying about this. Poch also had that "tradition" of finishing poorly because he over works players. That seems to have been largely dispelled the last season or 2, but maybe we've got it again. Just as we get to the business end, we can't see it over the line.I wonder if he is facing a similar situation to 2 years ago where the end of the season culminated in the Newcastle performance.
Then he subsequently said that some players were already thinking of the summer holidays, new contracts and the Euros. This led to the massive drop off in performance.
What if it’s happening again? The players beat Chelsea and think top 4 is done. They see the rest of our fixtures and just assume we will win the games. It wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened to teams.
If so, at least he’s been through it before and can address the problem players. If he’s as brave as we think he is then he will drop those who he thinks are having trouble performing because their minds are somewhere else.
The Watford game will tell us a lot.

Perhaps - but the point I was making was we're not going to suddenly be in the spending/wages bracket that Liverpool/Arsenal are in. Or so Levy suggested.I don’t think we need to worry about that. There’s a a couple of hundred million at most to worry about. We may not feel any effect - we may feel it for at most a couple years.

I hope I'm wrong, but it's starting to feel a little like groundhog day
No way they’re assuming top 4 is done. Chelsea will probably be 2 points behind us come Monday so I seriously doubt the players will be going into that thinking top 4 is in the bag.
A major problem for Poch I commented on earlier with "is the tail wagging the dog ?". I'm talking about Harry Kane and his current lack of form which is undeniable. As the manager Poch may feel that a break from playing a full 90 minutes is what's required....come on for the last 30 minutes eager and hungry to score a goal...but what if your star player is demanding to play every game ??? (certainly in the league his hunger to retain the Golden Boot is more than enough incentive to fight against being dropped).
It really is a rock and a hard place scenario....do you impose yourself as manager and risk the wrath of Kane or do you allow Harry to refuse to budge ?
It’s the same set of players and manager so it’s valid.
We can lose/draw and not take the game as a given, though. Should put that caveat in.
Yeah that’s why I said the Watford game is key. A good performance and win against them and I think we will all be a lot more confident.
A United fan who gets no exclusives from them and trys to destabilise other clubsI mean it's Duncan Castles, who many footy journalists consider a bit of a joke, but...

These people jumping on Harry Kane.... He should be dropped. Really and play who. We ain't Real Madrid.
We have critical players like it or not have to play them into form ie Lloris Kane Alli Eriksen Vertonghen imo Lamela.
Drop Kane drop Kane the man's a goal machine, and deserves a bit more respect.
No ones turning on him. Criticism is just that. Criticism.100% behind Poch and can't believe everyone turning on him after united did a defensive win against us. Next year he will be better again as he generally has been each year and hopefully we will spend a little and improve again as we have every year. The boost factor of being in a new stadium will also have an effect next year.

Because they are my thoughts I don't need to back them up with any facts at all....So many people on here have been slagging Poch off for playing Kane when the team was doing quite well during his injury absence and was obviously 'off form' upon his return...I was merely pointing out the fact that it may be Poch is in the difficult position of not wishing to upset his star player who is demanding to play.....Chill pal....is your world really based on 100% fact ??....are you not allowed an opinion/view/idea/thought ??Are you really going to base what you think, on what if's and complete lack of any factual information to back up those thoughts ?
If he hadn't have played Kane and we lost, the cries would have been 'why didn't he play kane ffs?'Because they are my thoughts and what I think...I don't need to back them up with any facts at all....So many people on here have been slagging Poch off for playing Kane when the team was doing quite well during his injury absence...I was merely pointing out the fact that it may be Poch is in the difficult position of not wishing to upset his star player who is demanding to play.....Chill pal....is your world really based on100% fact ??....
My original point posted earlier was that perhaps Harry could have been on the bench at the start and brought on later....not left out at all....to quote...(ffs)If he hadn't have played Kane and we lost, the cries would have been 'why didn't he play kane ffs?'
