I recall a few years ago when we were building the stadium that some SMEs said we’d probably have multiple sponsors / partners for different things rather than one big naming rights deal. The Getir partnership appears to support that view. Anyone know how much it is worth?

They were referred to as Corner Sponsors. I think this alluded to them having different areas of the stadium but I’m pretty sure that has no significance in regard to an overall naming rights deal.

Getir concept is a great idea amazed it took someone so long to go to market with it, they will be absolutely huge.

enough to pay half of Romano transfer fee maybe. 5 more partnerships and we can get a new squad in.

When I was a student 99-02 Taxi drivers would go to offies and buy alcohol, cigs and snacks and stuff and deliver it instantly, I think it was like £5 on top of the receipt cost.

We once asked if our pizza delivery guy could call in at the 24 hour garage for some rizlas. TBF he did it!

Edit: the FT article was open yesterday but closed now. This is the same story: https://telegraf.id/getir-valuation-triples-to-7-5bn-as-investors-chase-grocery-app-craze/

Already worth more than Deliveroo and Grubhub, and even supermarkets like Morrisons and M&S.

Impressive growth curve and still plenty of room to expand.

Sounds like an even bigger company is coming soon for a different deal, so that is a lot of extra income for the club.

If they bought stadium rights, maybe might be looking to buy Levy out? #justsaying
Don't they own PSG?

I can't see anyone from the ME getting involved with Spurs due to the Jewish association but I could be way off the mark there.

Maybe they don’t want to announce the scale of the agreement while the transfer window is open but Getir want some exposure while the season is due to get underway. The statement was very vague.

I think it can get pretty complicated.

For instance, Israel and Saudi get on very well (relatively speaking), because they have a mutual enemy in Iran.

You've also got to remember that the Arab nations have traditionally been incredibly fractious; they certainly don't mind fighting among themselves.

And of course, none of the politics may mean anything to Jewish or Arab businessmen, who just want to do deals and make money...like all businessmen want to.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I think that's overplayed. Israel has burgeoning links with other countries within the middle East and obviously it's a Jewish state. I can't see it having any effect.

Apparently there was no Coca Cola being sold in the stadium today? Could be a shortage, a change to Pepsi or someone mentioned some stadium sponsorship from Pepsi. Probably nothing ?

Do we have to change the name of the stadium before the season starts? If we've got sponsorship.

You'd imagine we'd want to but I don't see any reason why we'd have to, I can't imagine it's something the rulewriters would have dealt with.
