I think that's the plan all along. I'm not sure if the NFL has dedicated sponsors like the Champions League does... but one of them could be sniffing around.
Oh yeah, they sponsor everything. Even replays are sponsored. Last year, Snickers sponsored rookie mistakes. I can just imagine the big screens coming up with VAR DECISION: OFFSIDE, SPONSORED BY M&Ms

HP asked if there was an update on stadium naming rights as this would have a
significant impact on income and fans would hope could alleviate ticket price
increases.
TK explained that naming rights deals are complicated and we only have one
opportunity to name the stadium. Getting the term, fee and brand partnered with
all correct are difficult.
HP asked if a deal could be done in the foreseeable future. DL explained that as
well as identifying the right brand, the sector the brand operates in is important.
Finding a brand and sector that matches the Club’s values is vital. There is a trade
off with the Club’s own brand; where the value of the exposure of brand
‘Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’ in different markets draws in other revenue and
benefits.

I have heard this before.

That the name Tottenham Hotspur Stadium promotes the Tottenham Hotspur brand, rather than some other company.

If you hosting big events with international audiences the Tottenham brand is exposed and enhanced. So it's not just what you gain with a naming rights deal, it's also what you lose.

Somebody has probably explained this better somewhere in the proceeding pages.

Yeah. I’m curious, why are people so keen for the stadium to receive some new corporate name?

It’s not like once it’s done Levy will sanction a transfer spending spree.

I think that's what they're hoping for, money coming in to be spent on the club when it most likely won't be and will probably just go into ENIC's back pockets.

I'd much prefer it to be called The Tottenham Hotspur stadium than some other corporate shite.

20m a year isn't going to turn us in to behemoths.

They are upgrading stadiums at Barca & Real but The Lane is still the finest football stadium in the world with it's iconic South Stand, it's a beautiful stadium designed by Populous managing director Christopher Lee (Australian by the way) & others, with a lot of input from Levy .
I am struggling to find a brand name that does justice to our stadium .

I think it’ll end up being similar to the Camp Nous naming rights.

eg: ‘Sony Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’.

Still has the traditional name for UEFA games and fans, but some corporate branding mixed in.

not sure how much difference in money you’d receive for that though…

Re above post hadn't realised it was now called Spotify Nou Camp for domestic games , to me that just sounds awful .

PS When perimeter advertising first appeared at The Lane , Billy Nicholson was totally opposed to it , I'm with Bill on this.

It probably sounds better in Catalan.
The best things ever round the perimeter were the half time score boards either side.

That would be a big blow if that stadium gets naming rights before we are able to and Allianz not exactly a crypto type deal either

That’s some deal they got moving there, £2.5m a year rent and get a large slice of naming rights for a stadium they don’t own.

They have taken zero risk in moving there, gained massively in the process all from tax payers money.

No doubt they be coining in similar amounts to us if it was to go through, whilst not being saddled with all the debt and years of saving and under investment into the playing side prior to the move.

I’m sure one day it’ll all come out about how corrupt this deal was.
