Yay!!! Go Wizards!

Wiz fan huh? Well because you are I am forced to dislike you . On a serious note though I think they'll beat Cavs in 6/7 games. They have a good roster and good complimentary players, not like the Cavs who just look to LBJ every game.

I'm very intrigued with the Lakers - Suns series. It's seems PJ has found good formula to utilise Odom, Smush, and Kwame Brown, along side Kobe. The last game, they just plain shut down the Suns on defence - Marion was getting rejected left, right, and centre.

Yeh, PJ said in Game 1 that he experimented with other players rather than rely on Kobe all the time, and it seems to have paid off, because everyone's getting in on the act. It was the right move as well, because I don't think Kobe could carry a whole team through a series. He's good, but I don't think anyone is that good in the modern game.

These 1st round playoffs are really hotting up. Barring Dallas' 3-0 lead over the Grizzlies, every other team in the playoffs has won at least 1 game, so the closeness of most of the series are making the playoffs a lot more exciting than expected. The Bucks surprised everyone Saturday with a blowout win against Detroit, while the Lakers have taken the lead in their series with the Suns. The King's buzzer-beater means another series is on again with the Spurs, while LBJ steered his team to another win against the Wiz midweek.

Ney Jersey 95 - 107 Indiana

LA Clippers 87 - 94 Denver

Miami 90 - 109 Chicago (Heat lead series 2-1)

Cleveland 97 - 96 Washington (Cavs lead series 2-1)

Phoenix 92 - 99 LA Lakers (Lakers lead series 2-1)

San Antonio 93 - 94 Sacramento (Spurs lead series 2-1)

Detroit 104 - 124 Milwaukee (Detroit lead series 2-1)

Dallas 94 - 89 Memphis (OT) (Mavs lead series 3-0)

New Jersey 97 - 88 Indiana (Series tied 2-2)

LA Clippers 100 - 86 Denver (Clippers lead series 3-1)

went to the bbl finals today, very fun!

Sweet. Newcastle won 83 - 68 over Scottish if I read correctly. i didn't watch it myself, but I wasn't surprised with the result either.

Switching back to the NBA, I watched the Lakers - Phoenix game last night. Unbelievable. Bryant made 2 great plays, 1 to take the game into OT and 1 to win the game at the buzzer. It was like something out of a film, just crazy.

These past few days have experienced a lot of surprises in the 1st round. You have big teams stuttering while the lower seeded teams are playing playoff basketball. I honestly feel there is a genuine upset from somewhere, maybe Chicago can pull off a series of their history and beat Miami. I think the Lakers are also in a very good position after that buzzer-beater by KB in OT.

Miami 87 - 93 Chicago (Series tied 2-2)

Cleveland 96 - 106 Washington (Series tied 2-2)

Phoenix 98 - 99 LA Lakers (OT) (Lakers lead series 3-1)

San Antonio 84 - Sacramento 102 (Series tied 2-2)

Dallas 102 - 76 Memphis (Mavs win series 4-0)

Denver 83 - 101 LA Clippers (Clippers win series 4-1)

Detroit 109 - 99 Milwaukee (Detroit lead series 3-1)

What does everyone think of the playoffs so far? Are any upsets on the cards? Or do you think the big teams will scrape through to the 2nd round? If I had to choose an upset at this precise moment the obvious choice would be the Lakers, but I'd like to see Chicago do something with Miami, they are capable of beating the big teams, and I hope they do Miami in 7.

Definately wanna see the Lakers go on and win their series. It's looking good so far.

I hope the Heat and the Spurs manage to get back on track though.

Oh, and i'm up for seeing the Clippers getting as far as they can aswell.

I dunno about the Heat. They have the players but I don't think they have the chemistry of a good team. There's no doubt that they'll lose in a series with the Pistons if they made the conference finals. I also hope to see the Spurs get back on track. Although it would be interesting to see the reaction if they got knocked out early. Nobody would expect it and it would make the playoffs a lot less predictable.

It is looking good, but I've got a sneaky feeling now that the Suns will win the last 2 games of the series and win in 7. Just a hunch. The other 1st round matchups are coming to a close, with 3 series already finished and the remaining 5 nearing the finish line. LBJ's OT buzzer beater won the game for the Cavs which puts them 3-2 up in their series with the Wiz, while Detroit had a blowout against Milwaukee in their last game together to clinch the series.

Indiana 86 - 92 New Jersey (New Jersey lead series 3-2)

Sacramento 98 - 109 San Antonio (SA lead series 3-2)

Chicago 78 - 92 Miami (Miami lead series 3-2)

LA Lakers 97 - 114 Phoenix (Lakers lead series 3-2)

Milwaukee 93 - 122 Detroit (Detroit win series 4-1)

Washington 120 - 121 Cleveland (OT) (Cleveland lead series 3-2)

Does anyone think the Kings, Pacers, Bulls or Washington will turn their respective series on its head and knock out the top seeded teams? And what of Phoenix? Will they recover in time, or let their finals dream slip?

All 1st round match-ups have now been concluded except the Phoenix-Lakers series, which is going all the way to Game 7.

New Jersey 96 - 90 Indiana (New Jersey win series 4-2)

Phoenix 126 - 118 LA Lakers (OT) (Series tied 3-3)

Miami 113 - 96 Chicago (Miami win series 4-2)

Cleveland 114 - 113 Washington (OT) (Cavs win series 4-2)

San Antonio 105 - 83 Sacramento (SA win series 4-2)

Any predictions for the Suns-Lakers game tonight? I'm going for a Phoenix win. The momentum seems to be in their favour and I fancy them now to be the 8th team in NBA history to recover from a 3-1 deficit in the playoffs.

Detroit are the team whom i support and i tell ya, they are the best team in the NBA. We have the best defensive unit aswell as a great attacking unit. Nothing gets past Big Ben at the back and with the likes of Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton sloting in a load of baskets it seems all good for the Detroit Pistons. Come on lads!

That's what they said last year. Who beat them in the finals......oh yeah, the Spurs.

You have a great starting 5, with some help off the bench, but we have a lot of strength in depth.

Yeh I'm thinking another 7-game series if Detroit and San Antonio meet in the finals again. Should be an exciting finals. Last night involved the last match of the 1st round series, with Phoenix comfortably beating Lakers to take the series 4-3, who now face the Clippers in the next round.

LA Lakers 90 - 121 Phoenix (Phoenix win series 4-3)

The 2nd round series have got underway and there havn't been any surprises really.

Dallas 85 - 87 San Antonio (SA lead series 1-0)

Cleveland 86 - 113 Detroit (Detroit lead series 1-0)

New Jersey 100 - 88 Miami (NJ lead series 1-0)

LA Clippers 123 - 130 Phoenix (Phoenix lead series 1-0)

I wouldn't bet against any of the winning teams going through to the conference finals. Does anyone else think otherwise?

The only surprise for me was that the Mavs gave us such a hard time at our place.

I can see the Cavs pissing me off, if they proceed to get blown out everygame. God, i hate Detroit.

I'm really lovin the Clips, at the moment. They're probably my second favourite team in the NBA. I'm excited for them to be progressing in the right direction after so many years in the Lakers shadow. Plus, Billy Crystal finally has something to shout about. Hopefully they can take their series to at least 6 games.

Yeh defo. If they tightened up their D then a very evenly-contested series could be on the cards.

Unlucky defoefoe, series tied 1-1 with Mavs. Blowout win as well at your place. :p

the Nets won, i hope the nets go on, but i dont see it happening because the heat are very good....

The spurs will win it again, although i dontt want them to

The Suns have a very good chance because Steve Nash is amazing

+ steve nash is a tottenham fan, i had a pic of him in a spurs shirt... Also on NBA on Sky Sports he said he was a spurs supporter from birth because his mum (or dad cant remember) is from UK....

Also he is best freinds with steve mcmanaman...

Anyway, i used to like nash, now i love him because he is a yiddo...

Yeah, we brought it on ourselves. Hopefully this will be the kick up the arse we needed. I expect Ginobles to pick up the pace now.

I knew the Cavs would piss me off. They got blown out again. They've showed they rely on LBJ too much. He just gets double teamed by Detroit, and they can't do anything. Rather frustrating from a Cavs point of view.

I'm starting to like the Suns too. :) Another update and there have been games that have tied the majority of series, demonstrating how tight each matchup is. Every series (apart from the Detroit-Cavs series) could go all the way to Game 7, which would be good to see for a neutral fan as myself. I'll be rooting for the Suns, not just because Nash is a yido, but also because they play pretty good basketball.

Cleveland 91 - 97 Detroit (Detroit lead series 2-0)

Dallas 113 - 91 San Antonio (Series tied 1-1)

New Jersey 89 - 111 Miami (Series tied 1-1)

LA Clippers 122 - 97 Phoenix (Series tied 1-1)
