Superstar in the making. He is going ti be a fantastic player
Every talented midfielder to come out of Croatia gets dubbed "the next Modric." Previously it was, "the next Boban" or "the next Prosinecki." It's similar in other countries as well. They always get compared to previous greats, regardless of whether their games are actually similar or not.
But tell me this kid isn't a copy/clone of Modric:
Alen Halilovic (#10). The way he moves, dribbles, looks, the stature, the hair. Uncanny.
Scores a great goal in the above clip and also tracks back to thwart a good scoring chance just prior to that.
He's 15-years-old and he's "the next great thing" to come out of Dinamo Zagreb (after Kovacic). Very highly rated and has already been to Real Madrid for a couple of trials. He went there a couple of times without Dinamo's knowledge and this caused quite a fuss, as his father is actually a youth team coach within Dinamo's setup. There was talk that the entire family would move to Madrid, but after some talks (and a threat of suspending the player for two years) things were eventually resolved.
Needs to obviously get stronger, but he's considered one of the better talents of his generation. I just had to share, as he's strikingly similar to Modric.
Another one to keep an eye on.
[Edit] Ha ha! Just noticed this threads over a year old!! I tell you what that Harry Redknapp's getting right on my nuts too! I reckon Levy should sack him at the end of the season and get in a younger guy who knows tactics!!!
This may be of interest. Looking a good prospect. - http://www.footballfancast.com/prem...ilovic-and-jedvaj-future-tottenham-superstars
If we let everyone else fantasaise over this kid, will it give us a better chance of getting Kovačić (not saying he is better, just that I don't think we have a hope of getting Halilovic, TBH)?
