We won many games a bit unconvincingly last year, and although we've clearly already had our moments, we now have more tools to allow us to keep on doing that. And although Adebayor is key, I believe Parker's addition alone will help us to continue to pick up points even when not in full flow. But we can't look too far ahead I agree, lets hope we have our grit back after the first two losses, because last season we were great at clawing our way back into things, first two matches this year we crumbled after conceding and we haven't gone behind since. Will be interesting to see how we react the next time we go behind - signs from last season and Parker's addition point to more of the same but who knows...unless Ledley keeps on going, in which case we'll never go behind

United have won EPL titles on the back of winning dozens of games unconvincingly

Some stats from F365:

* Tottenham have won their last eight Premier League games with Ledley King in the starting line-up.
* Rafael van der Vaart has averaged a goal every 173 minutes of PL football for Tottenham.
* Tottenham have won three of their last four league meetings with Arsenal for the first time since 1974.

Not really relevant at all, but what a great username ! Legendary flat race cycler from the Tour de France, circa the early- mid 90s. I actually hate Tour de France, but my French cousins loved Abdoujaperov, and his name has always stuck in my head from when I was a kid.

Lol, that's right - the Tashkent Terror! Djamoladine Abdoujaparov was a bit of a legend in his day and also a name that stuck in my mind as a kid watching Le Tour on tv. Check him out on youtube - great crash with a policeman on one TdF stage.

We lost to Wolves at home the season we finished 4th, this game hardly means as much as you state.
I made no statements about the importance of the game, just an observation on the negativity of facing NUFC, as if they were a major player.

Quoting past results hardly strengthens any point or argument you might be making either. That was then, this is now..........

The biggest issue to me is the inconvenience of an international break, the potential of injuries to key players and the loss of momentum.

My point, in essence is that we have a better team, and better players, we should not look pessimistically at the fixture.
