Does anyone remember the 80s and 90s when Marg and John ran it?

It was full of Spurs players after a game.

that was because the training ground was only a short trip away, and players diets were not the same as today (they were piss heads)

i used to work in the White Horse Flamsted End, and they occassionaly used to visit there too, 1st time i ever met Pat Van de Howe i nearly had to bar him:LOL:

LOL - I am not surprised - he was a nightmare at THE OBH allegedly

I remember it quite vividly. My mates and I (and many other anglers) used to go there for a pint after fishing at Brazer's Pit (now called Holyfield Lake) or King's Weir. At one end of the bar you'd see mud-encrusted blokes in camouflage gear stinking of 2-day-old tench slime, and at the other end it was all spurs players with medallions and suntans, reeking of Lynx body spray. I'm sure that's where George Lucas got the idea for the bar in Star Wars.
