The London 2012 Paralympics starts on 29 August and Channel 4 will make history and broadcast the Games like never before.

More than 400 hours of live coverage will be shown during the 12 days of the London Paralympics, with multiple television and online channels dedicated to showing all the best action.

London 2012 will dominate the schedules from 7am with the Paralympic Games Breakfast Show - presented by Rick Edwards and Kelly Cates - with a 45-minute highlights show between 10.30-11.15pm being presented by comedian Adam Hills.

Coverage will switch to More4 when not shown on the main channel, while three additional streams of live coverage on six dedicated channels will be available on the Sky, Virgin and Freesat platforms - three in standard definition and three in high definition, covering numerous sports across the event, while Freeview will carry one these additional channels.

If you’re watching Freeview HD there will be another service available via the red button when you are watching the Channel 4 HD channel too.

All of the streams will be available to watch live on the dedicated C4Paralympics website at channel4.com/paralympics.

Channel 4 have borrowed a number of high profile presenters to look after their coverage.

These include Kelly Dalglish, Sonia McLaughlin, Jonathan Edwards and Claire Balding. Jon Snow heads up proceedings I guess.

Scratch that. Seems like it's just a rerun of the closing ceremony. Worst bit of the enitre 2 weeks and that's what they're reshowing.

A lot of the music wasn't my thing on the ending night but I still enjoyed it. You can't please eveybody it seems but I think it needed to be watched with an open mind and mine really was.

Agree with CS, shiocked Elton John wasn't there and also Coldplay who are probably as universal as The Beatles currently i'd presume.

I'm not really sure what people expected. All their own personal favourite bands? I don't even know who this Jessie woman is but she was great for the Queen and Bee-Gees thing I thought. I'm guessing she's currently a big star?

Oh, as closing ceremonies go, it was fine. Most are toe-curlingly cack. This wasn't. Just not a great way to spend 4 hrs of one's time when compared to the two weeks of sport on show.

BTW, I'm having such withdrawal symptoms that I've ordered the xbox game. I shall pretend it's for my kids but they'll be lucky to get a look in.

Yup I wish i'd got my fat arse down there to atend an event as London looked like it was buzzing you could feel it. I'm quite mazed how mnay people i've spoken to who didn't watch any of it. "I'm not into sport" Bit more to it than that. Your loss and you'll never even really know why.

Yeah, dude - get some tickets for the CG. Glasgow is a great city and Weegies are always good fun. I am going to. My kids are already nagging me to get swimming tickets this time. The bug has hit me hard. Will deffo try and make it to some more athletics meets and other events in Blighty.

I went to the rowing, the 100m final and the Hockey medal matches for the women. Had a blast all 3 times.

Joey Barton, of all people, wrote a good article on it. Still a massive fanny of course but one of his more lucid moments. Not sure if peeps have seen it...

Sums it up very well I think. Especially about the athletes not being bigger than the sports.

Yup all sensible stuff from Mr Barton. Problem is he's one of the worst role models in the game as we all well know so it's all a bit weird reading that really.

One of the first things I did once the Olympics had finished was to go on the website for Glasgow 2014 and sign up for ticket alerts.

Weightlifting last night, synchronised swimming final tonight.

Just got back from the parade. I needed to go to get closure. Sad day today with it all being over, just Murray to look forward to tonight then another season of amazing highs of ridiculous lows supporting Spurs.

Rel shame the major athletics meets are finished too. Bit more cycling to come but that's thinning out as well. Decided to go to a few rugby games with my FIL. Tickets are cheaper and you can drink beer whilst watching the game. I can either have a nice day out basking in the warm glow of a Spurs win or drown my sorrows and try and distract myself from another disappointing result.

You must be very close indeed, judging by the nipple show going on.
