Can't wait. Love the Open, it's my favourite tournament. Booked the day off tomorrow as it's my birthday and for the start of this and the first day of the Ashes.

Don't have a clue who's going to win, but Big Phil is looking good at 25's

Really fancy Poults for it as he'll want to close the gap on Rose desperately and at 66-1 with Corals I think he's a cracking bet!

Should be a good one and is wide open! Course will be perfect for woods but I have a feeling we could be looking at another Brit fingers crossed and think McDowell and Donald will be right in contention.

weather is good up here at the moment, and even when its been overcast its still be warm and dry.

Big hitters will have fun if they can stay on the fairway, but im sure they will be heavily watering the course as well to keep it as green as they can.

Are you at the actual open or just in the area?

Rory stinking up the place again. Sad what's happened to him. He'll be back but I just don't think he's got the same win at all costs attitude that Woods has.

Another missed cut I fear.

mcilroy seems to have taken his eye off the ball, literally, since his strong finish to last season...that big nike deal, his tennis bird, I don't know what it is, but he looks a shadow of the player he was last season...

he keeps saying he's not concerned in interviews etc, but I think it's a man trying and failing to convince himself...Faldo had a point the other day, not that I think he should go quite as serious as sir nick did

Also he has to get used to new clubs and balls since the Nike deal

Ernie's making a **** out of escaping from this bunker. Makes me feel slightly less annoyed about my own sand game.

depends on what course you play, like St Andrews the bunkers are huge, and when you see them on camera it doesn't do them justice.... Not sure what one Eernie is in as i cant watch just now...

He tried to be too smart with his first shot, ended up not getting enough clearance and it ended up closer to the face for his 2nd shot. Similar on the 2nd try, and finally on the 3rd he put it beyond the flag. His own fault really.
