Goes with the territory... But having watched Levy at work for the past 22 years, it's easy to understand why Arsenal fans want him to stay at the helm for as long as possible.
Tbf, in recent seasons Spurs have finished above Arsenal. Even at he start of the season just finished not many had Arsenal in the top 4.

I can't help but feel whenever I see these links that its ether journo's just trying to get clicks from desperate Spurs fans or the Qataris just leaking fake rumours to put pressure on the Glazers. Maybe even a bit of both but I don't think there is any chance this happens, they might prefer the idea or Ratcliffe but I'm sure the Qataris offer will be too good to turn down.

O’Keefe said he thinks we could see a good clear out and around half a dozen through the door. Could be a busy and exciting summer.
The issue with a deadwood, that it is a deadwood. We had to release Dele for free. He was worth:

No idea how to shift Winks. Even Leicester had the better midfielders.

Is Paul O'Keefe any level of reliable source?
I have been reading him for a while. He was wrong when posted about Vorm coming back to join Mason's team, but stated that Gabbanini would follow Paratici. Hercules confirmed it later. He quite often is spot on. With a pinch of salt, of course.

As above, the big problem with Levy is looking at the clear out from a financial POV, which he will first and foremost.

Always been his biggest problem, he will not let any of those said shit players go on the cheap and no club with any sense is going to buy them at his prices because, well, they are shit.

Wages will be the biggest issue with selling our unwanted/fringe players.

The likes of Dier and Davies are reportedly on around £80-85k a week.

But the other factor is is they're seen as good or motivated professionals. Dele was declining at an alarming rate and lots of reports were regarding his attitude and motivation. Ndombele is another who just doesn't seem to want to commit himself enough to the sport to make a success of it.

He has recently paid off Aurier and Doherty. The challenge is the salaries they're on. To save on the salaries it makes sense to sell for low fees and our recent history suggests Levy will do this up to a point.

We've been trying to sell many of our players cheaply for years. However, our deadwood hasn't wanted to leave for different reasons like lower salaries, worse reputations of clubs and comps, etc.
It's not as easy as simply releasing players left and right either as they're due compensation if we do - which would in turn severely impact our incomings.

The economy of the clubs in Europe has hopefully recovered a bit more so with a bit of luck we'll be able to get rid of most, if not all of our unwanted players.

Yep, at this stage the thought is from one semi-reliable source and aggregators. Let’s sit back and watch what actually happens.
He blotted his copybook (and gave himself away a bit) when he joined the rush to tell the world Postecoglou was done on a two year deal. Might have been a one off but I suspect not. As you say, a semi reliable source. At very very best.

It will be the same bullshit

Need to sell before buy

Need to wait till big boys finish their business

Need to bargain down the price

I am absolutely ok with minimum incomings (bar at least one CB and a GK) if it means the summer is used to clear the decks and make space.

Why? We’re clearly in need of new players.

If we manage to sell numerous players and not reinvest, Levy hate will go through the roof.
