This is getting silly though isn’t it?

We weren’t competing in their competition because we were in the Champions League.

We didnt win the league-two play offs either … does that make Rochdale or whoever the fuck won it better and more successful than all the teams in the Premiership who won fuck all?

Have we lost all our sense of proportion and relativity?

No we haven't lost our sense of proportion and relativity. We just haven't been sucked into the bullshit of Levy's revenue maximization strategy of qualifying for the champions league whilst spending the least amount of money as possible at the expense of everything else as 'competing' or 'success'.

Do you really believe that?

Do you really believe that those of us who would rather see Spurs in the Champions League than the tin-pot thing that West Ham found themselves in because they failed to qualify for the Europa League, feel that way because of some bullshit spouted by Levy to save money?

Seriously, do you really believe we're that gullible? That stupid? That complacent? That unambitious for our club...OUR fucking club?

This bald stubborn prick can't take a god damn loss on a bad investment to move the club forward. Its one thing trying to recoup the fee, what boggles my mind is that he is willing to fork over cash for players who won't see the pitch because he wants a higher transfer fee. Penny wise, pound foolish. His ego is absurd because of how things once we're over a decade ago.

Well I don't see any other way for how someone can be happy for the aim of the club to be just to qualify for a competition each year and not really attempt to improve the squad to have a good chance of winning the tournament or be worried about competing for any other titles.

But who says anyone is happy with that?

All I'm saying is that tin-pot thing that WH won isn't a sign of ambition. iI's at best a consolation prize for not being very good.

And yes, I'd rather aim higher. As I'm sure you would.

We have to turn up the heat on Levy.

It's wholly unacceptable the way he's running this club.

The fans are the only ones who can truly hold him to account.

Enough is enough, he needs to feel the unhappiness of the fans and it has to be directed at him.

We are never getting him out. We were in the CL final a few years back and now we’ve sold our best player but still happy we have a coach that plays good football again. To the point where a top 6/7 finish would be a good achievement because we are playing football the right way. Similar to how it was being played when we were competing for the league and the CL. We are all puppets on his strings. Stop giving him your money!

WLB saying we need to sell players before bringing any more in. We have sold arguably our best ever player but now can't sign anyone because we have a bloated squad. Levy really is the lad that keeps on giving isn't he
This was always the case, we have a squad of 32 players, shift on a few then sign a CB and at least one attacking player and we’ll have had a really decent window.

Again… let’s see how it pans out.

Levy is literally on record saying he knew Harry was leaving

And here we are without a replacement after he left

He's ostensibly a failure at his own job

100 percent. The fact he also can’t cut his losses on a lot of our poor recruitments is beyond me.

Why not just buy the players we need as soon as we can and help the coach out as early as we can. And then sell the players we don't require. Why does everything need to be done in the order that most deterimental to the club?

The ITK sounds concerning but none of us actually know the actual amounts of the offers coming in or lack thereof.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Levy is essentially blocking some outs due to wanting too large a fee but we’ve loaned Rodon and aren’t we letting Hugo go for free. I’d like to think we are trying to move these players out but for sure Levy seeing them all as financial assets rather than part of a sporting puzzle will always be a huge issue.

Move the 7 Ange’s doesn’t want for any offer we can get, get them off the wage bill, sign the 3 we need to really compete and then happy days but doubt that will happen ofc although I do expect ours and other peoples activity to heat up more towards the end of the window now.

I’m not panicking just yet as I think Ange will influence things in a good way but if we are left short again it will be infuriating.

Just to play devils advocate what if Ange said he’s happy with Richy for now and that he’ll put Sonny up there if needed and that he’s ok for us to assess the market to try and get the best option possible rather than take what is available right now?

I think it’s more likely that we’ve already spent a lot of the Kane money and without selling some players Levy won’t sign off a new striker yet in which case that is annoying as it’s obviously extremely important we get another one in.

So hard to say without knowing the full picture but we can probably all guess what is going on same as usual.

Well some on here seem happy with that. Top 4 for some is the aim of the season.
I don't know anyone who's content with that. It should be a stepping stone to greater things.

I think some people do feel some pride in qualifying for the CL though, and I don't think we should begrudge them that: for years it seemed like an impossible task. But it doesn't mean for the fans it's an end in itself . i don't know anyone who thinks it is.
