He sure showed Kane who will now have to win trophies instead of wait for a deadline miracle of signing Kelly and starting games with Sanchez or Dier. 10/10 mastermind, most ambitious person ever. He should raise the ticket prices after signing of Johnson.

Project Kane would obviously be the fallacy of a certain demographic of fan group.
The reality would be to ask Ange what will we look like post harry. You cant replace him like for like so you have to approach things differently.
Pace, interchanging, aggressive forward play from any combination of players that he's happy to coach
why the doom?
No doom, I love the new style. The point was the plan was not in place. If you are going to treat our club like a business (which he does) then do it properly. We signed Johnson in the last 3 hours of the window !!! We had at least 18 months warning this could happen.

Every window sums up their ambitions. This window I get we need to get rid of the abject players, but it's another close season sitting on the fence watching others (Villa's, etc.) strengthen.
Their only objective is to the balance sheet and the quicker the fans realize that we are their slaves for them to fund their ownership of a billion-pound asset the quicker we will protest.
Selling Kane (with no after-plan), increasing the ticket prices, and not meeting their objectives this window will be the last straw for many.
The only way this changes is if Levy is gone, it's going to be the same mistakes time after time after time. Ange and that starting eleven are the only shining light in this, but that will soon become sour in due course.

I’ve literally stopped going to games because of this prick. I love the club and am very excited about Postecoglou, but I can’t bring myself to part with money anymore, it’s too expensive and its too disappointing.

Cant even be bothered to get angry with the owners anymore just have to accept they are never gonna change it will always be a business to them and they don’t give a fuck about trophies. Good luck to ange he’s in a very very long line of managers who have been let down. Will be season 3 of not going to games for me I won’t ever give enic another penny of my money.

It is alarming how bad Levy is at managing a business despite having been in situ for 20 years.

The stadium, which I am an ardent believer will be great for the club in the long run, is a monument to his ineptitude. Daniel has a unique inability to understand his core business is football and that the stadium which he is so proud of, will not reach its potential until the club is really challenging for honours.

Waiting until the last moment to seal the Johnson deal, putting us in a position (certainly on Thursday) where we thought not completing any deal in the wake of Harry's departure was a real possibility, papers over what's been a very poor window overall.

If I told you in June that the Club's plan was to sell Kane for £100m and sign no recognised striker to replace him, but rather a youngster (however promising he is) who is predominantly a winger, we'd have a full scale riot on our hands.

It's got to the point now where its clear that football operations are not the priority. That's been the case forever of course, but at least in days gone by there was at least an attempt to hoodwink us. Now it seems they unashamedly money pocketing everything.

With the exception of Maddison, we've failed in almost every aspect of this window. Our objectives were:

1) Keep Kane or if we lose him get a good price - I think 100m for Harry was good.
2) Replace him with proven quality - Was never going to be a scenario where we find another Kane. There isn't another Kane. But replace him with a different type of striker, perhaps a more agile quicker more efficient pressing forward - FAILED.
3) Replace him with anyone - FAILED.
4) Get rid of deadwood - Ndombele and Hugo still take up around 400k per week in wages. Reguilon is only loaned out. Hojbjerg couldn't be convinced to leave. Dier & Sanchez are still here, despite not being in the manager's plans (at least by choice) - HUGE FAIL.
5) Sign CB cover - we're told that due to failing to get Dier or Sanchez out that this was not possible. All I hear is excuses. If either Romero or VDV get injured or lose form, we're well and truly fucked.

So yea, Levy out.

No worries, Levy obviously believes Sanchez, Dier and Davies capable of stepping in if/when Romero and VDV goes down injured or gets suspended.

Besides, it's not like Romero has a tendency towards getting injured or getting a red card.

That's got fuck all to do with anything. We've been trying hard to put a stop to the vitriol aimed at the players not just because it's needless but because it lowers the tone in here and promotes even more spite.
Any chance we can have this thought process implemented across the whole board?

The nature of this thread really isn’t helped by the unnecessary vitriolic name calling.

People losing their shit over the state of the squad now?

We are only missing a 4th choice cb right now, and have strengthened in our key areas.

People throwing around comments about incompetence seems overboard. It's not football manager. You can't make teams bid, or force players out without paying off contracts in full.

If you want enic out, then actually have a large scale demonstration outside the stadium prior to the Sheffield utd game.

Lots of you come on here and blame the fans, yet do fook all about it yourselves. Even the guy who arranged the last enic out protest has given up, because its all talk on social media and no appetite in the real world.

I like to think I’m somebody who gets that we can’t do it all in one window.

But at the same time, we never seem to go that extra mile.

We sold the, arguably, best striker in the world.

We’ve bought one 1st team starter in their prime in Maddison then 3 young 1st team started in Vic, VDV and likely Johnson.

Outside of that it’s young squad players.

I’m happy that we’re going back to youth. But it’s just never feels like we do enough.

This thread is amazing.

“He’s done it again, Levy lovers will be in here sticking up for him!”

*people agree*

“They will! They will be in here soon, praising him, saying he’s great!”

*people quietly nod*

“They’re everywhere! Levy lovers everywhere! Singing his praises!!”

*people look around waiting for something to happen*

“EVERYWHERE!! I CANT MOVE FOR ALL THE LEVY LOVE!”

*one person pops into thread*

“So erm… I’m no fan of Levy, he’s done a lot wrong and should go but one thought I did have...”

“LEVY LOVER! KILL HIM!”

It's going to take a few windows to get the crap out.

We also need to.provide a pathway for our youth. A lot of people are saying we have a lot of diamonds in the youth system. We have to try them at some point.

But this is my problem with ENIC/Levy. It’s not that things are horrifically bad, they do just enough for us to compete and nothing more.

Ange’s attitude and playing style is the only thing keeping me optimistic right now.

Levy hasn’t made me hate, he’s made me apathetic.

Good point and It’s the only reason I can see for the club not adding to what might ultimately have been additional deadwood. we have two England youth international CBs whose development we don’t want to hinder and who Ange will accelerate into the first team.
Tosin for example will have wanted a big 5 year deal. But in a years time, he might easily be down to 5th choice CB.
It doesn’t excuse us not finding two loan CBs who fit the profile more than Sanchez, Dier. I didn’t rate Lenglet that highly and he wasn’t quick enough but I’d have preferred to have him sitting in reserve than what we now have.

People assume that Tosin is better than Sanchez. I'm not sure he is.

I spoke to a Fulham fan, he said he is OK, but nowhere near as good as Tim Ream.

Not really sure what people’s obsession with getting rid of “deadwood” is. I guess because they’re taking up squad space? But it’s pretty clear Ange won’t play them if he doesn’t want to, so why does it matter if whoever decides to stay? We’ve only got a game a week til January, they’re likely not going to play.

For the game a week we’ve got, it’s pretty good to me. Besides, I’d rather we promote youth again rather than buying stopgap replacements. The players Ange doesn’t wanna play won’t.
