Has he?
I'm not being funny but I genuinely don't remember him saying that.
I was pretty sure at the time that he wanted to go, more than we wanted to sell him because he was being rotated quite heavily with Tripps at the time?

I'm often wrong but I swear that it was Walker who wanted to leave, rather than us wanting to shift him.

The way I remember it is that his head was turned by City. And to be honest that’s understandable. We were never going to keep up with them. He got to work with Pep, got better money, a higher profile, guaranteed trophies.

I think most players would prefer to play for City than Spurs, especially if they had good reason to believe they would be important players there.

Which goes to show how much shite is spouted as fact, especially in this thread.

Most reasonable people know and accept that Levy has his faults but just making stuff up to hold against him is pathetic.
See now the answer someone will rock up and give to this is that some of the defences of Levy are equally so. It's so easy to poke a stick into each sides hive and perhaps i'm as guilty as anyone else at times. This is such a divisive topic that fairness and balance, for some people, often flies straight out of the window and we're all pretty much taking sides with little or no knowledge of the actual facts other then we did/didn't sign/spend, it's mostly all driven by that if we're being honest.

Having said that..............Levy out :sneaky:

I agree. That's why the whole "didn't sign anyone for umpteen windows" doesn't really wind me up one way or another, because I don't know the reasons behind it.
It could've been down to the stadium, Levy, or Poch being a fanny so while yes, it did set us back, I'm not going to use it as a stick to beat anyone because I don't know what happened.

So basically, has Levy been good for the club? Yes.
Has he also been a meddling twat at times? Also yes.
Do I want him in or out? I don't fucking know because I don't have enough information to decide either way really and I reserve my right to change my mind depending on my mood! 😁

But the difference is the criticism in this case is a lie.

We can all analyse anything however we want. But as soon as someone lies to make their point then they’re probably not worth discussing with.

Again you're right, yet here we all are.

It's all become very entrenched and circular.
I don’t agree.

There are numerous posts both criticising and defending Levy in the last few pages. They’ve been well received by “both sides.”

But one poster just flat out lied to make his criticism and rightly got called out for it.

haha

One poster this time. Fuck me have you seen the state of the previous 490-odd pages?

But there's a theme developing here so OK, you disagree. That's cool. Have a winner rating in good faith and love :woot:

I just don’t really get your attitude sometimes.

There are loads of good posts throughout the thread both criticising and defending Levy.

Your posts don’t seem to acknowledge that at all.
I'd have thought that was taken as read, that it was understood the posts/posters that I was talking about.

There are some fair posts floating around in this thread. There. Clear enough? Happy now?

#caveateverything

Hopefully we move on past this bollocks now.

You think we’ll have a half hearted summer coming up?
Leave gaps in the squad?

I’m quite excited for the summer window personally and looking forward to what Lange/Paratici/Ange do to improve us.
Also with our new data approach.
I think we will make plenty of signings. They might not be the big names out rivals will be going for but then after Vicario, Udogie and Sarr for example we have to give them the benefit of the doubt that it's data driven .

Walker has said in multiple interviews that he didn't want to leave Tottenham and "the club" told him that he had to go.
This is a lie posted here in bad faith. It is not a half-truth or a misreading of the facts, it is a deliberate known lie.

It's pathetic that some of our supporters have such an agenda that they feel the need to make up lies like this about the club they supposedly love.

You don't persuade people by lying to them. It just undermines your point every time and exposes what you're about.

Anyway, I love Spurs and all I want is what's best for the club whether that's Levy in or Levy out. Right now, the facts suggest Levy is a good - if imperfect - steward. I'm persuadable the other way if the evidence changes, but not by Sp3akerboxxx.

EDIT: I wish the mods would crack down more on misinformation like this. It damages the forum.

Levy didn’t match Poch’s ambitions, then hired two winner managers without intending to match theirs either.

As for the search that led to Nuno, appointing Stellini, absolutely laughable.

you didn’t need hindsight to predict that, or that HK would finally give up on our project

Another half hearted summer follows where gaps are left in the squad far from able to compete on one front let alone hopefully four

All for 6m a year, twice what any of his peers earn!
Daniel is paid 3m plus per year. The extra 3m was a bonus as you no doubt know. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Poch’s ambitions?……Daniel spent 110m on 3 players after CL. Final. Poch’s picks and we’ve got nothing from any of them. Poch is a decent coach but cannot pick players. Vast majority of our best team were here when he arrived.

Got to be acknowledged that Kyle is obviously not the brightest. Children all, over the place. Brilliant full back but lacking between the ears.
Wont have much money left with all the maintenance payments..

haha, we'd end up with about six posts a week ;)

You could ask for evidence in the form of links to the interviews, I mean, if he's said it loads of times it shouldn't be too hard for him to find. Or at least be told where he saw it. But I suspect, given who it is and assuming I have the right guy, he's a Twitterarti, believes and posts anything he sees on there.

Go on, ask him to shit or get off the pot. Let's see what transpires.

You never know, he might be right :cautious:

As for cracking down on it, that'd be a monumental task with multiple considerations, which we'd have to tackle team handed. Working in shifts. It'd be impossible.

Perhaps we should bring back Irving Scholar , he's only 77 . We won the FA cup under him, surely the perfect fit with some of the other dodgy owners at other clubs these days and he nearly got Fergie, think of all the silverware we have lost out on.

Mate, if Levy overruled Conte and signed Spence, do you really think that he wouldn't have overriden the club man that Poch was?

Or do you think that the far more logical reason was that the club was stretched financially with the stadium, and he lied when he said it wouldn't effect transfers.

De Jong said he nearly joined us but instead chose Barce: https://www.skysports.com/football/...nearly-joined-tottenham-before-barcelona-move - the fact we already agreed a deal with him points to the club having funds available at the time.
