The players don't care because?

Because we've had three and a half seasons of negative, miserable bastards "coaching" them, who regularly have strops and blame them and call them shit if they don't win football matches. They get paid tons, live in big houses, and live amazing lives, so why should they care?
This.

They do care, some aren’t good enough and some aren’t looking as good or as enthused as they could be because of the style of play, simple as that.

Id hate playing in this style and system the same as under Nuno and Jose, as a player in this style of play you do far more running off the ball than you do playing with the ball at your feet and the positioning is very rigid, it’s boring to watch and boring to play in but I don’t think many if any of these players don’t care or aren’t trying.

It was a bad day collective. Not one single player had a good game.

It feels like one of those days, which was the opposite of our previous 3 games.

I think they care alot, just caring about the wrong thing.
They care too much about not making mistakes.
It explains why we look better after we concede.
I think they need to start enjoying their game again but I can't see that happening under Conte/Mourinho style management.

I don't think this is a question of caring, it's just they realize we need a rebuild. The higher ups refuse to accept because of the cost. We are not even competitive, just knocking of teams when they're at a low point. This is a mess.

and are pampered at work with the facilities. It’s too easy for them.

But I never see them smiling really. I think they don’t enjoy the football.

If I'm getting paid £100k a week I wouldn't give a shit.
You would give a shit if you had ambition. Thats why we see players at clubs being paid huge amounts but still wanting to move on to bigger things.

My point is this. What motivates players, outside of the team environment, is the club having a strategy thats driven towards success. Players want to be at clubs thst win things

Ours is evidently NOT, give the last few statements from the club justify the purchase of land and property as ‘wins’ for us. And in the same statement claiming that qualifying for europe is success enough.

Well it may be from a financial perspective, however it means nothing for the team. 22 years of failure in that regard.

finally, just look at the web of companies set up in our property portfolio and tell me that all of the revenue is goin into the team, as levy states. Its not. Hes a clever fker, business is business and on field success isnt a priority when he has other channels of revenue pumping up ENICs investment

Took my anger out on FIFA last night. Hired myself as spurs manager, gave myself £1bn to revamp the squad. Bought Mbappe, Haaland, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Pedri, Davies, Bastoni, Gvardiol, Kounde, Donnarumma and Osimhen.

Lost my first game of the season to Leicester. Went to bed.

To be fair, in the circumstances that you have described, there wouldn't have been such a negative reaction.

So by this rationale you're suggesting that Man City's players are motivated by slave labour and sportswashing, and not by the quarter million paychecks?
