wolves twice, stoke, wigan all last season, wigan again this season and probably a ton of others that have missed. I dont think we will ever learn from our mistakes against the lesser teams
If we hadn't learnt to beat the lesser teams, we wouldn't have come fourth last year or been fourth this season.
United lost to Wolves, have they not learnt? It's just the vagaries of football, especially this year. Literally anyone can beat anyone, and I don't mean literally like (to quote Redknapp Jnr) "Paul Scholes is literally painting a picture on the pitch" or (to quote Pleaty) "Ryan Giggs literally only has one foot", I mean literally. Literally.
We beat Wigan 12-1 on aggregate last season...
The Wolves and Stoke games last year, that performance showed up for Wigan at home this season, but we put it to bed when we beat Wolves 3-1, Newcastle 2-0 and Fulham 1-0 when all of those teams came with the same game plan.
This season we've been able to beat tough teams away from home, including our first league win at Craven Cottage since I was a taddy in my dad's right nut.
We beat them there in March 2002.
I don't want to know anymore.
