Why do they not expect the same from Leicester at some point?

Undoubtedly Leicester will drop at least 5 points out of their remaining 9 games but unfortunately I'm equally convinced we will drop at least that too.

It's quite gutting really, even when finishing in the top 3 for us would be a spectacular achievement.

that's a different point to what you just said though which was with regards to potential. both are 22 and have done more than mahrez for example had at that point so can't just be dismissed.
It is about opinions and Clint is nowhere near ready, and neither is Pritch who has been out for so long and hasn't started a full game yet for WBA. It is very obvious to me that we overall are lacking in that area, and amazed against that where we are in the league,

Look, after being 2-1 up today I knew in my heart of hearts I would be disappointed with anything but a win but;
Many times when Fergie was in charge at Utd and they didn't get a result for whatever reason or that they were 'x' amount of points behind the leader with a fair few games to go, I remember being so impressed with his post match interviews in the fact that he was calm, assured and understood that with that many games and points still to come, there were many twists and turns to be had.

Yes that was a Utd team that was used to winning and was being run by a manager that had been there and done it, but the fact remains; 10 games to go in a league that has all season thrown up surprise after surprise, means the dream is still possible.

We are a decent fucking side that believes in their manager, We'll be just fine.

Don't be down, enjoy your beer tonight.

Felt so shit to see them won and go 5 points clear.. I said before and I say again, Leicester winning the title is gonna be a real missed opportunity for us which I think many will rue and regret..

I'll take top 4 no doubt at the begin of the season, even today's draw will be welcomed.. But looking at where we are and where we could be, I just wish the Poch and the lads could push a little harder and tried.. I knew they never failed, but trying it harder is what that makes the difference.. Just why would any club standing at 2nd position a couple of points off the top not aiming for a shot at the submit is beyond logic..

'It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low'

This ^

But I still need some doses of optimism... Fuck..

Kane scored. We went top. In March.

That may be it for us. It may not. No-one knows.

But I tell you this. I'd rather have those 14 minutes then watch it implode than not have those 14 minutes at all...

It wouldn't surprise me if Leicester drop 7-8 points (possibly 7 in their last 3 games), which means we could draw 2 or lose 1, and have to win every other game.

I actually expect Leicester to drop more points than that, but you're right - the results today leave us with hardly any margin for error. All the team can do is focus on the next league game and see where that takes us.

Top 4 was the aim in August, so anything above that for me is a bonus. Points will be gained and dropped. Arsenal still to play City so one or both will drop points that game.
Agree - MP has a very good chance of meeting this season's main objective - CL qualification.
So he stuck with the 1 point rather than go for all 3
And I think he was right. It racks up the pressure on ManU/Wham.

It not exactly who dares wins and we might end up missing the title by a point,
but a potential defeat to that lot would have been devastating, and could have sent us off track.

So I am happy with the point, and happy that the draw is very damaging to arsenal's title bid.

Champions beat a 10 men Arsenal today, they see it out. I'd be happy with minimum top 3 and ideally above Arsenal. I'd consider that a fucking good season regardless of anything else.

Attract quality in the summer and push on. Stay a contender for the next few seasons. We'd all be over the moon with that and no one could argue it really. Young team, manager that has never been to these heights, we are doing better than our wildest dreams currently. Push on next seasons with quality recruits. COYS!

[Edit} I'm not saying it's over, merely that true champions would have seen out games like today but coming top 3 is a "immense" achievement and should be regarded as a master stroke by Poch. Let's see how end the season and more importantly how we do next season on the back of this, if we push on...then truly we can say, we are witnessing the dawn.

Factor in we play around 25% derbies which goes against London teams (Spammers, Palace, Goons, Chelskum, 'Watford'). You can see why when we have the opportunity like we had past week we play two demanding derbies. We lack two serious 'make the difference players, which we have to rectify for next season, please do not talk sbout Clint and Pritch. They may be ok but not what I am talking about.
I agree, let's splash 100m on two worldies, nah feck it, let's have 3, really spend the dosh

this title chase is far from over, Leicester have Utd, Everton, Chelsea last 3 games of season - see them picking up 1 point from that.

I think the champions this year will have the lowest points total within the past 15-16 years at least. Just had a look through some of the historical tables and the league has only been won a couple of times with a final points tally of between 80-83 points. Both by Fergie's Utd.

The maximum points we can get now is 82, which is obviously not going to happen. I think 21 points is realistic, difficult but achievable. It would put us on 76 points. Doesn't leave much margin for error and still probably won't be enough to win it. But would give us a chance. We kind of need Leicester to lose at least 4 of their remaining 9 games.

Leicester are gonna win it by default. Our record against the top half of table are just so so and still have many of them left. Man City's against top half even worse. Arsenal are the biggest legends in the league to the date. Leicester "win" it because no one else seem to be able to.

Good luck to Leicester. I can't begrudge them their moment in the sun. If we can't win it (& I never expected us too this season). I hope they do. Great to see the status quo shaken.
This season has been brilliant surprise overall, with so many of the usual contenders having a few nightmare spells & the emergence of our young team.

I just hope we don't fall away now, as we've done in previous years, just as we enter the business end of the season.

Poch has now to manage the squad carefully, (Dier's performance today was probably down to fatigue for eg as he has imho been a revalation), he needs to rest & re - energise them & most of all make them believe in each other. We showed Arsenal to much respect today when they where there for the taking. I just think too many of our team are running out of steam at the one time.

However we are in a magnificent position still, just want one last push from the squad and who knows where it could take us. Audere est Facere.

I am not advocating we spend 100 mon three worldies! I I would not suggest that figure but I am sure we could spend 40% less and do well against the transfers out money that sits in the bank, so technically without having the figures we actually only spend 20m with another one going out to the existing profit kitty. Not taking in the new TV money, along with guaranteed CL money if we make it ofcourse. Not forgetting other revenues which I am sure we can let it gobyowardsthe new stadium.
