Leicester are defending to well to bottle it imo, obviously id love it to happen but im just not seeing it. They defend way to well to collapse. They've conceded 6 goals in the last 14 games which is absurd. Its been an amazing season and even if we come second we shouldn't be too down, I honestly think we'll win it next season. The traditional big clubs don't look like they know what they are doing and we have a genius manager at the help with lots of young and very talented players.
They are, but on the other hand they are still giving teams chances, unfortunately these teams are missing these chances. Guaranteed next season these chances start going in.

Of course they will. Kane will score 67 goals and yet we'll still be pipped to the title by fucking Bournemouth

They give teams few clear chances, and never through the opposition opening them up. The Rodwell chance was all Sunderland got out of that defence and that was a deflected shot that found its way to his foot. They smashed our little agent Defoe to pieces and he got no change. its just difficult to score against such a team.

I reckon Barca might score a few v them next season.

Looking forward to next seasons' Race to the Title thread - I don't know whether we will win it this year (unlikely now), but I do know that we will challenge again next year.

Should I cash out for a return of £11-50 on my January bet at Ladbrokes? It was £10 at 9/1. The August £10 for top four at 13/2 stays put though...

It seems likely that we finish second now but LC have a tough run in and they don't look v good right now just keep squeaking out wins which I credit them for but think it's highly likely they drop a few points along the way were still in this

That was my point.....

Having said that, I've seen MOTD now and they have had yet another hand ball in the box not given against them but I'm not getting in to anothet debate whether or it was or wasn't a penalty.

I'm as big a conspiracy theorist/frustrated arsehole as anyone that Leicester seem to be getting away with so much but to be fair Yedlin has Jackie Chan'd Okazaki in the chest and got away with it.

It's their style of football that annoys me. It's a long ball. Simple as that. Call it "direct", "effective", "penetrative" etc and while it is all of these things. They are essentially a hoof and hope team. Frustratingly it's feckin working!

If I have the right comment in mind, I don't think you grasped the point being made. It was specifically about the way they have controlled possession high up the pitch when closing out a match. They have done the same thing in the closing minutes of their past two games, very effectively, and the young winger Demarai Gray (as the commentator said) has been crucial to that both times, after coming on as a sub.

I also saw one or two very skilful team moves on the highlights, with quick, close passing and movement much like ours, that nearly led to goals. There's a lot more to that team than a stout defence and Vardy running very fast. When they need to play, they play.
I got it, but hearing Leicester in any way compared to Barcelona sounded ridiculous. So they play possession football for 5 minutes in any game and get mentioned in the same breath as Barcelona? The only reason they can probably look like they can do that well in the last minutes of a game is because the opposition is so knackered from doing all the work, while Leicester have been sitting back for large periods as well as being a bit fitter than most. Any team can play against a knackered one and look good if they're not tired, but credit to Leicester in that they play in a way that wears the other team out, by letting them doing all the work for 85 minutes- it's effective. Mentioning them with Barca even the way he did just sounded a joke.

I think we're going to give this a hell of a go still. The lads must be absolutely flying after that win yesterday.

We just have to hope that in the back of Leicester's minds that they realise they know they're grinding out results and the pressure starts to tell - you have to admire that it hasn't started to tell already.

Either way, the future is bright!

All i want is for it to go down to the final day, with us having a chance. It would be up there with the biggest collapses if they were to throw it away.
Its a tough run in for both us and them, but you would say that theirs is slightly more difficult, but then again they still have to face West Ham and Chelsea, who wont do us any favors you'd presume.

Why does everyone on here think chelsea will purposely lose to spite us

The fans don't like us, but do you seriously think foreign players like Costa and Hazard care about Spurs not winning the league?

Chelsea are still champions and having the "champions elect" coming and beating them at home is not a good look for any pro. They will give them a good game

Unfortunately they will also give us a good game :(

Leicester are handling the run in very well at present but if we're to catch them, it starts next weekend. West Ham are the first opposition they're playing in the run in with any real element of quality. If we'd have faced Newcastle, Palace, Soton and Sunderland in our last four, we'd have been very disappointed had we dropped points. Fair play to them.

From here on, it's West Ham, Swansea, United, Everton and Chelsea for them - a totally different set of challenges. If they despatch West Ham this weekend, then I'll give the title up, credit Leicester for an incredible season and take huge pride in us performing as we have. We'll move forward to next season with confidence regardless.

If they drop points against West Ham though and we beat Stoke, I'd be very nervy if I were a Leicester supporter. Looking at the respective fixtures, if we're within 4/5 of them going into the last three, with our goal difference on top, the title is far, far from a done thing.

Roman is not going to care about that. He sacks managers for coming in 2nd. He will gladly give the game if it means none of the other big clubs win it. You know players/managers who doesnt do his bidding are as good as gone.

They are playing West Ham at home though aren't they? It's a different prospect than playing them at Upton Park. Plus there is no way Andy Carroll will play as well as he did against Arsenal again this season.

I agree though, if we are still within 5 points going into the last 3 games anything could happen. I suspect they are only do using on themselves but if we still are chasing them relentlessly and haven't fallen away then you'd hope some doubt would creep into their players minds.

I think they will draw to spam and lose to Utd. Which puts us in position to take it on the final day after they choke
