Good game so far. England look sharp and are playing fast. Italy to be fair to them when they get the ball are trying to play much quicker than their traditional efforts, and scored a nice try. Can they match that with defensive effort and go for the whole 80 mins though and keep it a contest...

If Italy can keep this up in the tournament generally they'll cause other teams trouble.
England looking a bit rusty at times but Ford and Farrell looking excellent.
Not sure who we bring in as a scrum half for the rest of the tournament.

Risking the wrath of TSH, but you can see why Care doesn't start games for England (no matter what he does from here till the end of the game - he'll snipe a try no doubt)..... He just cannot control/run a game and provide the accuracy that Young's (who isn't perfect at all either) does better.

I know I'm biased with Care but not really sure what he's done wrong since coming on.
The Quins player I have been disappointed with is Mike Brown.

His general stutter around the ruck slowing down and killing impact for the ball carrier. The crap box kicks - one that just caused the spell of possession for that try. The 'brilliant' chip kick in behind when we were well set with numbers right, and the chip kick only had Itoje for chaser and gained us -10 yards from the play.
He's best coming on and sniping from the bench, I just don't think he controls it well through phases and sets the pace.

He's been more than fine when the ball has been available. Think Italy have slowed the ball down well.
Agree he's had a couple of bad box kicks but he's done a couple of great ones as well so think that's unfair.
And the chip kick was excellent. Italy defended it very well.
Really don't think he's been the issue.

Job done for England really. I don't think anyone will beat Italy by more in Rome, or at all potentially.
But a few worrying gaps in defence. Wales will be looking at that and thinking they can definitely get points on the board.

You don't have to substitute your scrum half, so I'd start with Care, and only change him if he needs it.
Actually, I might give Maro a go and see how he gets on.
