Hope this is BS from Gatland. I’m pretty sure it is as Sinkler is a obvious target we should look to exploit but he’s obviously not going to say that. I wish Genge was playing to:

Wales coach Warren Gatland says England prop Kyle Sinckler can "emotionally be a bit of a time bomb", but says his side will not target him in Saturday's Six Nations showdown in Cardiff.

Harlequins forward Sinckler, 25, has been involved in controversial incidents during the tournament.

"I am not saying anything that people aren't aware of," said Gatland.

"We won't be going out there trying to antagonise him, because that's not in our make-up."

Gatland added: "We will just go out there and play."

During England's win over France Sinckler was reprimanded by Welsh referee Nigel Owens after slapping Arthur Iturria's head and reminded of "rugby's values".

Gatland coached Sinckler on the 2017 British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand and says the player is aware of a temperament that has led to these incidents in the 2019 Six Nations.

"There is no doubt he's a very good player in terms of his carrying, scrummaging and work-rate," said Gatland.

"There is a challenge sometimes with his temperament. He's aware of it. Other players are aware of it. We've already seen in the Six Nations that he has been involved in a couple of incidents.

"Hopefully, we don't get dragged into that on Saturday.

How can Wales succeed against England?
"Hopefully, he goes out and has a good game and is able to keep his emotions in control, because that's a big challenge for him."

Sinckler acknowledges he was at fault in his altercation with Iturria but says television cameras did not provide the context to the incident.

"I don't condone what I did, but they didn't show the full replay of what actually transpired," he said.

"I didn't just smack him on the head. There was stuff that happened before. I am not perfect, and I have learnt from it."

Gatland has underlined his players' need to keep their cool in what promises to be a highly charged atmosphere.

"It's going to be incredibly physical with a lot of passion involved. Discipline is going to be paramount.

"I want my players to bring that physicality and be emotional, but I don't want them going over the top, losing their edge or getting involved in foul play.

"One thing I can't stand about the game is foul play. We want to play tough and hard, bring as much physicality as we can, but playing to the laws of the game.

"This has become a really big game for both of us, not so much for the Six Nations, but building for the rest of the year, World Cup plans and preparations and for Japan."

He added: "Win this game, I think it sets you up mentally as much as anything for the rest of the year."

I imagine they’ll focus on themselves first and foremost, but if they get a chance to have a dig I imagine they’ll take it. Evans and Sinckler are a pair of wind up merchants so can imagine there’ll be shenanigans!

I’m not sure how you’re reaching that conclusion. If we said we want the roof open England would see past the bullshit and say we agree. You don’t think they’re that stupid do you?

It’s logical for them to want to keep the roof open and to minimise the atmosphere which you would hope would put less pressure on not only yourselves but, more importantly, the ref.

In your current form a closed roof suits you more but you’ve still opted for the roof to be open. Us lying and saying we want to open would never work.

It was closed in 2013 I think and that wasn’t a great day for you.

I was joking to be fair.

2013 wasn’t anywhere near as bad looking back. Lancaster at his worst, not a single carrying threat, powder puff scrum and a pedestrian backrow. Chuck in a strange ref and it could have been more than 30.

I think it’s weird the roof being closed is even considered. I could understand it if it meant they could avoid playing in 12 inches of snow but that would be entertaining, but part of rugby is the elements. I remember the zfrench would cry if it started raining when playing England. Pathetic!

Must’ve been one of Farrells first trips to Cardiff too.

I tell you what. One plus to not having the roof closed for Wales is that Farrell absolutely thrives off that shit. He reminds me a bit of Dele in that sense.

This is why I’m worried. If he has an amazing game for you I think you win. The key for us, as in any game tbf, is to win upfront and not give him the platform

I guess it’s not even a consideration for anyone else as we’re in the unique situation of having a roof.

If Twickenham had a roof I would imagine we’d be doing the exact same as you.

Twickenham is 4/5’s full of posh poncey types anyway so there’s hardly much atmosphere to keep in, unless of course England are flying.

To think people doubted Farrell. For want of a better description, he fits the term ‘test match animal’ perfectly.

If tomorrow Is anything like the U20s game I may have a heart attack and not make it back from Cardiff!

Interesting. I’m glad you didn’t say the result as I’ve got it on record and will watch later. Sounds like a good game.

Intense stuff so far. England just shading it I think - defence has been brutal and we've managed our way around the park and out of any tricky spots a bit better/Wales errors have hurt them more, especially for the try. Very close game though, and I like to see us have the platform to play a bit more rugby second half.

Curry had an incredible half. Only 20 as well.

Have to agree, very tough game to call. Discipline is the key here I feel.

Can see a penalty being the deciding difference as opposed to a tanking.

I wish both side would stop poxy kicking it. Its awful. Yes, I'm moaning about the kicking game again. All it's done so far is give away cheap ball.

I think Wales will Nick a win.
